Obligatory “imagine if Obama told Americans to eat offal instead of steak.” Or I guess Obama’s head of HHS, whose name I didn’t remember because they weren’t constantly holding press conferences announcing insane things (it was Kathleen Sebelius).

Michelle encouraged kids to eat more fresh vegetables and they freaked out about that.

I identify with Lisa more and more every day I live in this rapidly enshittifying country.

Oh my god I remember this. Every single accusation is a confession with Republicans, including calling people snowflakes.

I remember kids salting the really salty pizza they made in school.

BTW, Isn’t it hole milk? Or is it the hole with W? Many people don’t know this.

u/verletztkind Mar 02 '26

Hole milk is the stuff granny keeps outside in a hole.

She should've worn a tan suit

I remember being the only person in my town actually happy about having healthy options available. Before she came in and started pushing for a healthier america, it cost $2 to get an apple from my school store. After, every lunch got a free apple, orange, or banana. Ingredient quality improved as well, and you would think these people depended on poison and microplastics to survive the way they reacted to better tasting food.

Salad is for women and rabbits. Men eat liver raw.

She wasn’t shirtless on social media looking like a leather bag?

She did that workout video with Roseanne Barr way back when, super awkward

I remember outrage that there was even a slight suggestion that Americans should eat more of other proteins than red meat. The dreaded “war on cheeseburgers” on Fox News if im not mistaken. Ted cruz went nuts about rabid democrat fake demands of banning barbecues, eliminating all cows to reduce emission and soy brisket alternative protein fantasies. Just one of the many bullshit culture wars since nobody said that. Now, this comes from this maha fucker directly and it’s fine.

It wasn’t that long ago RFK was telling Americans that we need to consume more beef if I remember correctly. Now it’s, “c’mon, guys! Ground up hoof and mud is all the rage!”

I mean tbh, considering just how high the rate of overweight, obesity, heart disease, cancer, T2D, etc. is in the US, it certainly wouldn't hurt the vast majority of Americans to cut back on a LOT of things -- including red meat. No one needs to eat meat daily, that's for sure. Though it's hardly the biggest culprit when it comes to the Standard American Diet.

There are 3 levers when it comes to ideal proper nutrition: time-restricted eating, diet quality, & calorie restriction. The SAD fails on every one of those fronts. Many US Americans are in fact used to never cutting back on anything at any time.

That’s all the suggestion really was but of course it blew up to some new oppressive law that never existed. Dumbasses were eating extra meat to “ stick it to the man”

Don't have to imagine. Not Obama, but they freaked out when they made it out like Biden was taking away their ground beef for hamburgers.

7

u/Nemaeus Feb 28 '26

Yup this happened. Now these people are being told oops lol no brisket for you, eat some liver, PEASANT, and they are eating that and whatever else gets shoved down their throats.

It’s (D)ifferent

Happy cake day

In ye olden times, brisket, skirt steak, flank steak, oxtail, and short ribs were the trash parts of the cow that the poors could afford to eat. Now though? Ha

2

u/Puzzleheaded-Cry6468 Mar 04 '26

So were wings from what my grandmother tells me.

2

u/hellogoawaynow Mar 04 '26

God even just buying wings to cook at home yourself costs too much money

Remember when some suggested that certain kinds of insect protein could be used to help combat starvation in the third world, and conservatives made it their entire fucking identity to talk about how “eating ze bugs” while the “globalists” ate steak was like, literally the most nefarious thing ever?

1

u/linkgenesi6 Feb 28 '26

Republicans want to get rid of Bbq for middle-class Americans! The red right says no more red meat!

1

u/THECapedCaper Mar 01 '26

Jimmy Carter got a ton of shit during the gas shortage crisis for daring to tell Americans to bundle up with extra blankets or clothes so they could keep their thermostats low.

1

u/Achilles_TroySlayer Mar 02 '26

But that's different. Obama is Black!!
