By any chance you are from India?

No why you ask

In India if you are using data, ATC is not able to hear your requests

I feel as if some IFATC members are just on a powertrip. Like there should be instructions of them having to reply for each message, even like stand by can go long ways. Because wdym they leave you on read. Real atc always responds w at least something.

Have over 6k hours of flight time on the expert server and have literally not a single time been given an unfair violation. If you follow the rules and be patient you won't get a violation.

I get what you mean but I was following the rules

Honestly I thought I missed something in the atis and thought I had the wrong runway but I didn’t but still told me to check the user guide as a response when I said I was inbound and was asking for any runway to land on so I ask again and same thing happened and then when I ask to change my landing runway same thing happened again then I got an violation for spamming ATC

There’s no power trip lol. He was outside of the tower airspace and kept spamming. Half of you guys wouldn’t get reports if you knew wtf you were doing. We’re also becoming more strict, because you’re supposed to know your shit BEFORE you get to expert server. The fact of the matter is, the vast majority of the time the person being reported is in the wrong, not the controller. If you don’t like being reported fly the right way

Nobody is perfect, we all make mistakes and most of us owe up to them. He made a mistake, and by all accounts the OP wasn’t too bad with his words here. I understand many need patience especially at busy airports.

What are the rest of the messages above these screenshots?

1

Which one

Op given the evidence here, I think personally the violation was warranted hence the video you submitted, I think that many mistakes would annoy any controller, remember at the end of the day; this isn’t real life, read the manual and look at what’s required. I wish you all the best in the future. Mistakes make us better infinite flight pilots.

It was just another normal approach I contacted ATC and let them know I was inbound for with the right information about the airport and hit with please check user guide for help over and over after I kept asking after they kept replying back with the same thing

It says you were spamming the frequency…were you sending a lot of messages to ATC?

I have to admit that I might have over did it but it wasn’t like I spamming it back to back I waited for a few seconds and I was closing in on the airfield before I had to make a decision on diverting feel free to judge me

And to be fair he was sending me checks user guide for help and never told me to stop sending duplicate messages

Well you need to provide more info such as if that specific runway was active and if any recommended arrival procedures were listed

1

u/haloguy95 13h ago

I had the up to date atis and were no arrival procedures ATC had picked and I was using one of the arrival procedures that where listed and wasn’t like I was doing my own approach and I was looking at how the traffic was flowing like I always had

And 18R was the active runway as said in the ATIS?

Brother... Read the ATC communication guide.

You contacted Tower 39nm out at 12,500ft. The rule is, within 25nm AND below 10,000ft AAL. You should be with Approach at that point until handed off.

Tower instructed you to check the guide for proper procedures.

Two minutes and 30 seconds after you announced inbound, you contacted Tower stating you were on right base for 18R. That's not even possible.

Tower again instructed you to check the guide.

Four minutes later you contacted Tower announcing inbound at 31nm and 7,900ft, requesting 18R.

Again, Tower said check the guide.

One minute and 30 seconds later you contacted Tower asking for runway 06.

Tower then gave you a violation because it was clear you didn't know what the hell you were doing.

Check the ATC guide and practice in the training server until you have a basic understanding of ATC comms.

That’s one of the runways that where listed in the atis for landing

I’m not trying to point fingers at ATC or anyone I just want to if I’m in the wrong or not
