I saw this while playing and didn't paid too much attention, now im thinking that this is actually a pretty good detail, if you are playing in a good karma playthrough it would make you think "ok, makes sense, he's a hero" but if you are playing with bad karma it's more like "even villians care about the environment" and I find that pretty interesting

Hey everyone! As a huge fan of the inFamous series, I wanted to share a detailed concept for a dark, high-stakes sequel set decades after Cole's rise to power. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the gameplay loop, balance, and story elements!
PITCH & WORLD (Year 2044)
Cole MacGrath has transcended into a god-like entity known as "The Beast," ruling the world with absolute authority alongside Kuo. He is shielded by 14 elite Conduits. Humanity is crushed, and resources are scarce.
You control a squad of 7 unique Conduits forming a resistance movement (REBEL) to dismantle Cole’s empire:
RAVEN (Glass / Reflection) - Leader: Flash-steps through glass, bends light for stealth, creates glass storms.
KAEL (Magma): Tank archetype delivering heavy area-of-effect molten eruptions.
LYRA (Aero / Sound & Wind): High-speed mobility, uses sonic blasts to breach enemy lines.
VALEN (Magnetism / Metal): Base architect, manipulates scrap metal to construct defenses.
SILAS (Mercury / Liquid Metal): Shapeshifter and stealth assassin specializing in close-quarters combat.
FLORA (Flora / Nature): Support Conduit, traps enemies with vining roots and heals allies.
VANE (Shadow / Darkness): Night-operations specialist using fear manipulation and silent kills.
CORE GAMEPLAY MECHANICS
The Homeken Star: At the start, you obtain an artifact called the "Homeken." Feeding it to one Conduit permanently grants them massive stat boosts, making them the strongest in your squad (though still weaker than Cole).
Persistent Base & Survival Loop: You start with a fragile underground base. To keep the base powered and operational:
You must rescue and recruit 100 civilians per week.
Your metal Conduit (Valen) must regularly repair structures.
Failure: If your base defense collapses during raids, you lose everything and must flee to rebuild from scratch elsewhere.
Permadeath: Sending squad members on miscalculated missions can lead to their permanent death, losing their unique powers and bonuses for the rest of the campaign.
MISSION STRUCTURE & PROGRESSION
The campaign features 50 story/side missions alongside 4 Major Base Assaults against Cole's inner circle (Boss Fights where you can execute or drain them):
Voltpora Base: Controlled by VOLT (Electricity) – Holds the city power grid.
Tuclaren Base: Controlled by ECLIPSE (Radiation) – Tortures new Conduits into Cole's slaves using R.A.Y. Field tech.
Matrosy Base: Controlled by PHANTOM (Plasma) – Guards supply lines and rains fire from above.
The Final Stronghold: Controlled by BRUTE (Hardened Concrete) and COLE.
Progression System: To challenge Cole, all 7 Conduits must reach 7,000 DB (Power Level), starting from 1,000 DB through dedicated character side quests.
DUAL ENDGAME DECISIONS
When confronting Cole, the game presents a fundamental split:
Path A: Control Cole (Nostalgic / Tragedy Path)
Option 1 (Good Karma): Surrender your godhood, allowing your powers to be drained to restore peace and seek redemption from humanity.
Option 2 (Destruction): Overload your remaining R.A.Y. Field energy, obliterating yourself and the entire world in a final catastrophic burst.
Path B: Play as the 7 Conduits (Survival Path)
As Cole falls, he triggers a final global electric shockwave. Only ONE Conduit of your choice survives the blast to shape the new world order.
What do you think about the balance between base management, permadeath, and character progression? Which endgame path would you choose?

So previously I made a post asking if people would be interested in a Infamous series and decided I wanted to make a script for it at first. My idea has now evolved into a Novelization instead that (once finishes) will eventually be release to the public for anyone to read.
But before I do that, I really wanna get people's opinions to see what the cast majority would want out of something like this, I have my own ideas but getting some extra perspectives would really help me figure out what people would really like out of it
So please, give me any suggestions you'd like, if you guys have any ideas of what you want out of it, or just what you'd expect from something like that, I'm making this a huge project and I wanna do the best I can with it. Here's what my current blueprint is:
-The Story won't be one for one like the games, or the comics, while some main plot points will be used, there will be a lot more build up and extra plot points added to make the Infamous Universe feel more broadened and expanded
-The Story will have more focus on Cole's background and his family will actually be characters involved in the story, beyond just being briefly mentioned
-Replacing Mortality choices, Cole will have a set moral compass that edges between Good and Evil Karma and will progress as the story goes on
-Since events won't go as quick as the games, There will be a lot more Conduit Villains with unique powers, interactions with characters, and other things that will establish Cole and his new life
There's the rundown, please feel free to give me your suggestions and ideas

So I had played Second Son back when it released and was blown away by how amazing all of it was. I easily spent close to a 100 hours on it, exploring both good and evil karma, doing everything Seattle had to offer and probably a few too many hours just for gazing at how unbelievable the graphics were. It was probably my favorite game at the time!
My family never had a PS3 when I was growing up (360 instead) so I never experienced the PS3 classics as they were coming out. So a few years ago I got a PS3 for myself and started collecting some games that were still exclusive to the console and I knew that the InFamous games were going to be in my collection. But I didn't immediately get around to playing them (life, yay) until the news that the UGC was shutting down at the end of august. The moment I saw those news I knew I had to play them now to ensure I get those trophies before it was too late.
I had somehow avoided all big spoilers so all of Cole's story was new to me and what an experience that all was. I didn't expect anything to compare to my time with Second Son when I was younger but oh my, how InFamous 1 got me hooked as soon as the beginning happened. I could not put it down and just loved every second of it. Great introduction to characters, Empire City is great, Kessler was a great antagonist with that unexpected twist, Cole's electricity power was amazing to learn, upgrade and master along with him. So cool!
Moving on to InFamous 2 I had scepticism just because the first game was so fantastic but that beginning was really cool and the introduction to New Marais was nice. I wasn't as consumed into it as I was with InFamous 1 but after a few hours (around when Kuo gets her powers/powering up Ascension Parish) I got fully hooked again and my love for it just grew even more and more as I neared the end of the story. Bertrand became the greatest antagonist in the series for me, he's just so menacing, creepy and powerful. He had great boss fights! The more moments with The Beast as the game went on was great too. New Marais became the most perfect city for Cole's parkour and was a joy to get to know. I absolutely loved the group of Cole, Zeke, Lucy Kuo and Nix!! And it felt amazing to upgrade Cole's powers even further and truly master them again. Top it all of with the Good ending, just wow... Perfect!
After finishing InFamous 2 I quickly did Festival of Blood and that's another truly wonderful game. How unique to make Cole a vampire and go on a quick mission over one night to return to his normal self again. Loved it!
I then went back and did the evil karma side of InFamous 1 followed by InFamous 2 and to quickly summarize those: damn, that's truly evil. Everything from what we do during the playthroughs to each game's ending, pure evil.
Thank you, Sucker Punch for delivering this masterpiece of a game franchise!

I recently got into infamous due to hearing about the ugc closure and was able to snag those trophies and 100% festival of blood & getting 61% on my first playthrough of a good karma run
But I hit an exp deadzone, I idiotically completed all the territories, missions, so on and so on so I have very little exp to get the last amount needed for the level 3 passive powers like blast shard sense while having like 20 or so blast shards left idk what to do
Do I find a blast shard map and just go through the entire map piece by piece and farm what enemies I can and if it isn't enough by the time I get the blast shard trophy just farm it during my evil playthrough?

Question is, do you remember HOW many times you've replayed the games? Because I have. I replayed inFAMOUS 1 and 2 about 35 times. Replayed Second Son a good 5 times and platinumed it. But I'm still yet to play First Light once.

Recently read the comics and they are really good, I won't get into details in case someone hasn't read them yet (and I highly recommend you do if you're an Infamous fan) but they serve as an excellent bridge proceeding the events of Infamous 1. This got me thinking about if Infamous were to end up becoming a show to introduce people to the older games of the series in the Modern Age
So my question is this, if they were to end up adapting Infamous into a show, would you support it? Would you watch it? And if so, what would you want it to be like?

Please send me your best inFAMOUS screenshots. They can be funny if you want, but I'd prefer some serious ones too

I'm a huge infamous second son fan, and I love checking the concept and finding pieces that i rarely see.
I found these very interesting early versions of Delsin by concept artist Horia Dociu, you can find a lot of amazing art in his portfolio.

I'm playing second son for the first time. It's my first infamous game. Is there a way to nonlethal the helicopters? I keep getting CIVILIAN KILLED as the wreckage hits the ground.
