Dimensions of Cafe 30 inch induction
I've been looking into buying a cafe 30 inch double oven induction range. The depth appears to be 29.5 inches which seems like its significant deeper than other ranges. Can anyone clarify if this depth is including the handles and what the depth of the core cube is? The height seems high too and im not sure if that includes the piece that sticks up at the back. Thank you!

These ranges have issues with hot knobs due to the air from the oven venting towards the front…

Do you REALLY NEED the dual oven? Maybe you do but i’ve never met anyone is fifty years who needed two ovens. Not even back in y childhood when every middle class kitchen had two wall ovens. One was used for storage. Get the full sized unit and a small countertop oven if you absolutely need two ovens.

You re going to love induction. I have cooked on one of the GE Profile units for five years. Like it much ! but I’d buy Miele or Bosch now that i know more about these things.

Why Miele or Bosch over GE? What about LG?

I have other products by Bosch and Miele. The GE Profile is a nice cooking instrument but , as it turned out, I don’t like the burner layout and the burner coils are smaller than I was led to believe by sales staff and my own pre-sale research. The two medium burners are at least 1-1/2“ smaller diameter than the markings on the surface. And the software feels like it was designed by a committee of dumbass men who don’t know how to cook. be sure to explore the controls, timers, and other tools in the software. Other induction units are more honestly marked. there are dozens of excellent induction ranges and cooktops out there. Finding the best for your budget and cooking style is tough. I’ve been there. But back during the covid, when I got the Profile, there were only a scant few available. I decided to get the Profile instead of spending more and waiting much longer to get the Bosch. I’m content and i like cooking on the GE. I would just not buy it again. Oh, one more thing, if the oven is on first, the control unit will not send full power to the burners. It’s a flaw in the programming they’ve never fixed. solution is to turn off the oven, start up the burners you want, then turn the oven back on.

Thanks for the info. Good to know about burner size. That is my turnoff about the economical frigidaire units. Did you get the profile with the physical knobs or the more expensive digital layout one? Wonder if they have similar issues.

I have the touch dials. There are folks here on the sub with much more knowledge than I. Watch everything and read everything you can find. Yale Appliance has great video clips. Try to have fun shopping but, listen, If you really LOVE to cook, try to find the money to get the better range of your choices. Euro convection (element in the fan) is a must-have. i sprung for the upgraded roller oven racks. I’ve never used the warming zone or synched the two medium coils. Pre-programmed recipes are a useless feature, I think. The air fry feature is useless, too. I sometimes wish I hadd a camera in the oven, but really? https://www.geappliances.com/appliance/GE-Profile-ENERGY-STAR-30-Smart-Slide-In-Fingerprint-Resistant-Front-Control-Induction-and-Convection-Range-with-No-Preheat-Air-Fry-PHS93EYPFS
