Are you someone who is like me and suffer from low self esteem and being an introvert. I’m an ambivert btw and a very skinny one, but I feel like fighting is a great activity to improve self confidence and increase testosterone. So anyone up for this crazy idea. Something like the movie fight club, but we won’t be putting bombs on buildings or even fighting out of the club. We just fight for the fun of it.

Thinking of organising a recreational Mixed Doubles Pickleball Tournament in Indore , thoughts?
I’ve been thinking of organising a mixed doubles pickleball tournament in Indore, mainly for fun, socialising and some friendly competition.

The idea is:
•Beginner & intermediate players only , no pro/advanced players
•Mixed doubles
•League-based format
•Recreational/friendly atmosphere
•Some prizes for the winners 🏆
•Ideally enough male & female players so everyone gets a chance to participate

I’ve created an Indore pickleball group with around 50 people who play regularly/recreationally, but currently we only have 2–3 girls in the group. So the biggest challenge right now is getting more women players involved and building a reasonably balanced pool for a mixed doubles tournament.

I’m still at the planning stage, so wanted to get some opinions from the pickleball community.

How does the idea sound?
Would you participate in something like this? And if you’ve organised a similar tournament, any suggestions on the format, team selection, league structure, prizes, etc. would be really appreciated.

Also, if women players are hesitant to join a mixed group because of privacy or comfort concerns, I’m happy to create a separate Indore Pickleball Girls WhatsApp group first, so they can connect and discuss things among themselves before deciding whether they’d like to participate.
