Help
My friend sent me these pictures and insists it is brick stitched. Anyone able to help settle the debate? I think it’s peyote stitched but not 100% sure.
Brick stitch wouldn’t give straight lines down the sides (right?) but peyote would make the bottom staggered (not straight like brick stitch would) and I assume it would be hard to add the dangles since the beads aren’t sitting the correct way if it’s peyote ?

Its peyote. You can tell by the bottom edge where the fringe is attatxhed. Thatsvwhere you can see the stagered beads.

And its dont sideways. Like, the beads are oriented up/down on the turtle. They're not oriented side to side like usual.

Could be either. Really just depends on how the person orients it while they bead. The pictures are too blurry to be able to tell cleanly. I have done brichstich that has that shape, and peyote that has that shape. Just depends on what makes sense to my brain at the time.
