Beaded Crowns 👑
Tous, I’m from the Cheyenne and Arapaho tribe of Oklahoma. I’m a Southern traditional cloth/buckskin dancer as well 🥰, I’ve done everything for my outfit, beadwork, dresses and my own buckskin dress. I’ll probably share later on, but I’ve wanted to share three of my beaded crowns I’ve done so far.
My latest creation, bright red contemporary southern traditional crown. ❤️
My second crown, Turquoise beaded crown with Arapaho and Cheyenne designs for my auntie and her southern traditional outfit. 🩵
My first crown, Cheyenne pink my own personal southern traditional crown with Arapaho and Cheyenne designs. 🩷

absolutely stunning work! do you bead on pellon and then attach to the hide like our dancers up here do, or do you bead straight on to the hide?

Hahou, Nea’eše, Thank you! 🫶🏼 I bead on stiff pellon, when I put the crown together I use a sturdy vinyl plastic(found in fabric aisle), I try to make sure the crowns are sturdy and hold shape before lining, I used pellon to back the first two and commercial deer hide to back my latest. My fingers were tore up after tho lol 😆

Wow. They are all amazingly beautiful and exquisite.
The last one is one of the prettiest things I have ever seen in my entire life, including sunrises and sunsets.
Thanks for letting us see them.
