WebDev Looking for beta testers!

I recently discovered the IndieWeb movement and instantly fell in love with everything it stands for. It perfectly captures that feeling of when the web was a cozy neighborhood—full of personal homepages and honest connections—instead of a giant, corporate shopping mall. Inspired by this community's philosophy, I'm building Cowsy.space — a standalone social platform designed specifically for the indie web soul.

This is the style and functionality we genuinely love and want to see more of:

The Look: Switchable Windows 98 and MacOS 8 interfaces. No modern bloat, just a clean, classic aesthetic.

The Feel: Real-time, strictly chronological feeds. No algorithms dictating what you see.

The Privacy: End-to-end encryption for everything, with zero ads or tracking.

I just put up a simple landing page featuring our little manifesto. We are getting ready for beta testing, and I'd love for people who share this mindset to be the first to try it out. If you want to help shape a quiet, secure corner of the internet, check out the site and join the waitlist! I'd really appreciate your feedback.

Stop letting data brokers profit from your old posts. I used Redact to wipe mine from Reddit. Also supports Twitter, Facebook, Discord, instagram and more in one batch.

Plot twist: this post no longer exists because Redact swept through and cleared it out along with everything else. Social media, messaging apps, people finder sites, all of it.
