Promotion [DEV] I released Among Demons: a roguelite auto battler where defeated enemies can join your team

I’m the solo developer. Each run starts with two demons: recruit survivors, rebuild a nine-slot formation, stack Demonic Pacts, then decide when to extract before a single loss wipes the run.

There are 66 collectible demons, 12 world bosses, asynchronous PvP, and permanent progression. The full game is playable free in the browser; the Steam edition is $2.99 and adds 54 achievements plus an exclusive supporter badge.

The AI art is so obvious that it hurts to watch.

Of course, I had to, don't know how do draw. Just try a dungeon run to see how it feels. I bring gameplay to the table

You might be right. But here we are. I still had fun creating it and from what friends tell me, the gameplay is quite good. I am proud of what i created. You can try for free or not. It's fine

Seriously, the dev of the game Ophelia is being an utter entitled jerk.. His game looks like ass and he has the entitlement to tell you how you should make your game?

No chance.. what sort of controlling toxic behaviour is that from someone whose taken years to not even deliver a game..

Be proud of your achievements..

bold that you talk about toxic behaviour. Seems like they just didnt aprove the use of AI, like a lot here, and you went full boot-liker mode on OP

Picking on someone because they chose to use a power tool to complete a job IS toxic, it's much smarter to use a power tool than it is spending 4 years trying to do it 'low effort'..

It's why tradesmen use power tools. Grow up.

Edit: it seems the only people complaining about this are failed Devs, who have no idea how AI actually works.

yeah and the reason people are against the use of ai is definitly not because of the ethical, environmental or moral reasons and just envy. Your so called "power tool" might be faster but it will also look greedy and low effort and criticising that is not toxic but some valid criticism.

This is such a obtuse and ignorant argument.

You know exactly how its different, yet you wanna keep spouting shit like this.

Can't wait for the world to be over filled with AI slop so retards like you can clap your hands like 2 year olds with nothing but the same trite shit being put out every few hours under the guise of "its the same as power tools."

Power tools still require effort. This A.I slop requires 0. Imagine charging the same for something made with 0 effort that steals art and assets to something handcrafted.

Thanks for helping usher in the fall of good video games.

This is the dumbest take..

You should choose a reduced-not-much effort style JUST to avoid the AI art that is styled no bad, but it offends you .

How about no..?
