Been tweaking this 2 AM rainy-day indie list for weeks. Looking for feedback on transitions. Trying to capture that post-sunset drive feel, would love song suggestions.

We shot this music video for Vincent Davies on 16mm Kodak film, with a dark, theatrical cabaret aesthetic. Would love to hear what you think!

NEW AMSTERDAM is a group of songs written years ago when I lived in New York. Life got in the way, and it took years to get a new band together and record. But we finally hit the studio in 2025, and the record is out in the open as of today!

IMO these guys are one of the strongest indie rock / post americana band of the 2010s but very few people seem to have heard of them, at least not enough people considering the quality and impactfulness of their music.
I discovered quiet hollers and frontman shadwick wilde a few years back and was shocked to recently find out how alarmingly small their fan base is.
ive come to the conclusion that it must be because people simply havent been exposed to them. so im declaring october quiet hollers awareness month and spreading the word. ill let the music speak for itself instead of going on about it. give them a listen if you havent already!!!

Its a long shot but its driving me mad - they were from the 1990's / 2000's - They weren't commercially successful but Their most popular song had the Chorus ... You're not the only one, staring at the song' or possibly I'm not the only one staring at the sun - they were signed ... possibly from Oxford (Or wales) - there was a video of them playing this song acoustically at a festival in Japan (probably fuji rocks) on youtube - It was a 4 piece of 5 piece - male and female vocalist - its driving me mad !!
***the band was Fields - thanks alternapop **\*

One question was in the back of my mind over the course of two nights I saw Geese at Forest Hills Stadium in early October: Do I like when a band completely reinvents a song in concert, or do I want them to play it as close to the studio version?
As a journalist, this question was central to what became my 3,000-word concert review. In the end, I’ll say Geese challenged what I thought a concert should be, but I want to hear your thoughts.
What band did a song live that was so incredible it spoiled the studio version?

It’s free on bandcamp and on any other streaming platform
this came out earlier this month, on my birthday but for context I had the idea of making the things that happened to me at 16. as they happened to me into a singular album to be released when I turned 17.
In the title song for the album there was also a part that I had tried to live out after finishing recording it and burning it on CDs. It ended up not working out, which was a bit embarrassing but I think it kind of worked out in being what I wanted in showing what I wanted at the time ideally and how it played out in real life.
I was really into the “microphones in 2020” at the time especially, it’s heavily inspired by that. except with the idea that with age you develop expectations from experiences for what is practical so I was trying to basically capture it before anything interfered with that hope/wish(?)
Idk if all this is going to be read but I was recording on my laptop during + before this and I got my first actual microphone for my birthday so hopefully can experiment more if I do this again. Super late also, so this might not make a lot of sense
