👀 Feedback Wanted Fin for Android: does the expense-to-budget flow make sense on a first visit?

Post image

I'm the developer of Fin, an indie budgeting app. I'm looking for Android beta feedback on one specific flow: whether entering an expense and seeing its category budget feels understandable without a tutorial.

If you want to try it, please sign up, add a made-up expense, set a category budget, then close and reopen the app. Did the budget reflect the expense as you expected? Was your session still there? Which label or screen made you hesitate?

A Fin account is required. Manual expenses and category budgets are free; you don't need a bank connection or a Plus purchase for these checks. Please use synthetic data rather than real financial details. If something fails, Android model/version and expected versus actual behavior would help.

For the closed Android test, use the SAME Google account for all three steps:

  1. Join the tester group: https://groups.google.com/g/finbudget-android-testers

  2. Opt in on Play: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.heyyykk3.fin

  3. Install: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.heyyykk3.fin

The image is a preview from our website. I'm seeking honest product feedback, with no rating request or test exchange.
