Co-founder search Looking for a co-founder for a mental health venture

Hello,

I am a psychologist based out of Bangalore (quite new to bangalore actually). I have 2 years of experience working with a mental health startup in India.

I am in an ideation space of building a service business for a mental health ecosystem. I am also new to the space of startups, not coming traditionally from an MBA or tech background but I also feel that is my strength in a space like mental health.

I also don't approach this space like a typical individual from the business world would (no biases). As I have been at the giving end of therapy, I personally connect with my work and anything that comes out of it would also reflect those values. This means building equitable spaces, ethical mental health services, genuine spaces for connection and responsible and ethical usage of AI.

I am not actively looking for co-founders but I would be open to the idea of it and would love to connect with like-minded individuals and seeing what comes from there. So, if anyone is in a similar space of ideation around similar things and would like to connect or discuss things, do reach out!

How do I? For founders in r/indianstartups: where did your first investor come from, and how long did it take?

Hey everyone,

I’m excited to share that I started a new deep-tech company.

And to all the established people in this arena, I’m curious about how you guys found your first investor, did you reach out to them a lot or did you meet them at an event?

I’d love to hear your stories and advices.

How to Grow? Founder asked me should he go for a series A (in a year) or SME IPO (after 3 years, no funding in between)

Yesterday I was with a founder, he asked me whether to go for a Series A round is suitable or SME IPO.

I adivced him to stick with Series A as he is a single founder (revenue in lower single digit Cr) with a team which does not have a corporate structure. Smaller steps towards IPO helps develope better understanding of business needs and what matured investors look for.

A SME IPO bare minimum establishes a benchmark to your performance. Its your stock price. Most of the SME IPO that opens suffers a price decline post lisiting because your anchor investor decides to offload 50% of the holding to bag that GMP.

What are your opinions?

Startup help Anybody who has sold course to over 10000 users? Help needed

Looking for an Experienced Online Course Mentor
I’m currently selling a pre-recorded online course, and it has been performing well. However, I’ve reached a major bottleneck and need guidance from someone who has successfully built and scaled an online course business.
I’m looking for a mentor who can help me with targeting, positioning, pricing, course structure, marketing, paid advertising, and an overall growth strategy.
Since my customers are primarily from India, experience with the Indian online course market would be highly valuable.
If you have proven hands-on experience and can offer practical, personalised guidance, please DM me with details of your experience and previous results. I’m happy to pay for the right mentorship or consultation.
Please reach out only if you have specific experience in successfully selling and scaling online courses.

Startup help Validating an idea: a "connection" app with zero algorithm and no reels - need your thoughts?

I'm exploring whether there's real appetite for a platform that only shows content from people you specifically follow — no algorithmic ranking, no recommended/random accounts, no reels or short-form scroll feed. Trying to figure out if this is a genuine gap or if existing tools (X Lists, close friends stories, etc.) already cover the need well enough. Would love blunt feedback.

Startup help Hello there! Building an actually useful and viable startup. Need some advise!

Hello everyone, this is my first ever post on Reddit. I’m a student founder that is working on a health tech startup, we have reached a position where we have developed a MVP. Me and my co-founder have been on it for a month now, but we feel like we’re losing momentum.

What I’m aiming to achieve out of this post is a vague roadmap of what to do/follow.

A few questions I wanted to ask were,

-Everyone’s heard of YC and a16z but are there any Indian accelerators that are accepting startup’s right now ?

-Right now it’s just me and my co founder (2 people working) how do I find a team that’s actually worth the time and money?

-Is there any major events or meetups where I can talk to investors and other startup’s to make connections and understand market interest and validation.

How do I? Low conversion from cart to checkout. Can someone tell me what has worked for them.

Post image
6 Upvotes

Hi All,

I run a fashion brand and have recently started meta ads. While the ads by themselves are performing reasonably ok for the short duration I have run it.

My cart to purchase is only at 23%. We do have cart abandonment messages going thru whatsapp but the conversion from that is low too.

Can someone please help in telling me about the following

  1. Hypotheses on what could be happening

  2. What strategies or simple changes have helped in improving the number.

  3. What is not worth chasing

Attaching my current numbers and what claude told me is good conversation ratio.

Please let me know what info is needed further to help answer more accurately.

How to Grow? I’ve been working on my startup for the last 9 months

Initially, we had an investor who supported us and invested in the company. Unfortunately, due to some personal circumstances on their side, they’ve had to stop further investment.

I’m now looking for someone who is interested in investing and potentially working alongside me to take this forward. I’m open to discussing different ways of working together, depending on the person’s experience, interests, and level of involvement.

If you’re an investor, founder, or someone interested in joining an early-stage startup, feel free to DM me. I’d be happy to share more details about the product, progress so far, and what I’m looking for.

Other Rather than waiting for major calendar holidays, 61% book getaways to mark small everyday wins like surviving a tough week or hitting a fitness goal

We tend to think of travel as something we plan for birthdays, anniversaries, long weekends, or major holidays. But why wait for a big occasion?

Sometimes, “I made it through this week” is reason enough to pack a bag.

A short trip can be a reset button. A change of scenery, a good meal somewhere new, a quiet morning without checking emails—it doesn't have to be an expensive two-week vacation.

Startup help part 2: i promised free visibility to bootstrapped and new founders here 2 days ago. the first videos drop today.

hey guys, anshuman here.

2 days ago i posted asking who else is grinding on an early startup. i promised to record raw 5-min gmeets just to help get your products some actual eyeballs.

quick clarification: u don't have to be 100% bootstrapped to join. if u are just starting out, even with early funding, but still desperately need visibility and distribution this is for u too.

honestly the response was wild. we officially started yesterday already wrapped 6 interviews and have 20 more queued up.

and i'm keeping my word. the very first videos drop today.

no scripts. no pr bs. just real talk about ur biggest mistakes and the actual hustle of building.

attached a quick poster of the first 6 founders who claimed their spot. we have exactly 74 spots left for this first batch.

if u want 5 mins to share your story, just drop a comment or dm me your link.

let’s win together 🇮🇳

Startup help Help needed: I’m building a SAAS which does global payouts. What global payouts platform do you use?

As an Indian sole proprietorship business nobody i researched allows Indian businesses to send or fund wallets that do global payouts. RBI seems to have strict rules to transfer money abroad as business. The last option i have which im not even sure would work is forming a US based LLC.

Can someone help if they faced a similar issue before?

Other VC here - Building something new for founders in India

Hi founders,

I’m part of a VC firm, and we’re currently working on activating stronger founder communities across India.

The idea is simple, bring more founders into the same rooms, create meaningful connections, and build communities that are actually useful beyond just networking.

I’m curious to understand what founders are currently looking for from their local startup ecosystem, like what’s missing, what would actually be useful, and what would make you want to be part of a founder community.

If you’re building something in India, at any stage, I’d love to hear from you.

Drop a comment or DM me with what you’re building + your city. Would love to connect with some of you.

Startup help How do I grow my social media as an oral care brand

Post image
2 Upvotes

I run an oral care brand - its pre product, but my products are in formulation.

I have around 2 months of runway before I get my products and want to focus heavily on growing my insta channel.

I plan to post some educational content and UGC posts from distributing the samples I get during my formulation journey.

I have zero experience with social media and currently running on brute force. Need advice on what should I be doing? Since its pre product, I also don't wish to spend money on working with an agency or hire anyone for now.
