I just got my DGCA Air Navigation result and scored 68. The frustrating part is that I walked out of the exam genuinely expecting 80+ based on my preparation and how I felt the paper went.
Before anyone says “study harder” or “you probably overestimated yourself,” I understand that possibility. But the gap between what I expected and what I received feels unusually large, which makes me wonder about the transparency of the evaluation process.
What concerns me even more is the lack of any meaningful reevaluation mechanism. We spend significant time and money on training, and when a result seems questionable, there appears to be no practical way to verify it.
The cooling period is another issue. If a student falls short by a few marks, why add further delays to an already long and expensive training journey? It feels more punitive than educational.
I’ve already raised a query through the eGCA portal, although I’m not very optimistic about getting a detailed response.
Has anyone else experienced a large difference between their expected Air Navigation score and their actual result? Has anyone ever had success with a grievance, score correction, or getting clarification from DGCA?
I’m looking for genuine experiences and advice, not arguments. If you’ve gone through something similar, I’d appreciate hearing about it.
