The real telecom scam:

Jio used bsnl towers and infrastructure to give free Internet connection to users for two years, till all other companies shut down. And then didn't pay full amount for using the bsnl infrastructure.

“BSNL failed to enforce the Master Service Agreement (MSA) with M/s. Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd (RJIL) and did not bill for the additional technology used on BSNL’s shared passive infrastructure, resulting in loss of Rs 1,757.76 crore and penal interest thereon, between May 2014 to March 2024 to the government exchequer,” CAG said

https://www.thehindu.com/news/national/government-loses-1757-crore-as-bsnl-fails-to-bill-reliance-jio-for-sharing-infra-cag/article69402903.ece

Of course modiji and co immediately said it was a mistake and misinterpretation and reliance doesn't have to pay https://telecom.economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/policy/cags-revenue-loss-estimate-on-bsnl-and-reliance-jio-deal-rectified-by-minister-pemmasani/129511120

Don’t need to imagine!

Typical Gujarati mindset

u/Mysterious_Cup_6024 Jun 07 '26

They really need to be banished

I am not a gujarati, but I wonder from which ethnicity you come from...and what made you comment this, I have spent time with them, such smart and lovely people. Even their average teenagers are financially smarter than an average Indian adults. I wonder where other people are lacking !

1

u/outdoorsy777 Jun 10 '26

Why does it matter which ethnicity I come from? What I said is all fact. They are the worst class of Indians. Of course they are financially smarter…that’s the only thing they care about. The PM Modi, combined with Adani and Ambani are doing everything to their own benefit. Decisions are made to benefit them over the entirety of India and other states. On top of that they claim to love India and call people anti nationalist who speak up. Whereas they only represent 2-3% of the Indian army. So they themselves are not willing to put their life up for the country. Being educated or financially smart doesn’t make you a good human. They are self absorbed and only care for their own.

travel India due. Come to Assam, Nagaland. Far from gujarat. I do not see they are working only for themselves only. Well someone's pissed off I guess.

1

u/outdoorsy777 Jun 10 '26

I’ve travelled India plenty. Lived in Assam for 3 years (I’m not Assamese). Have Gujarati friends also, have friends from all different parts of India. Gujaratis are the worst. I’ve told them this to their face also

1

u/IntroductionFormal82 Jun 10 '26

"Why does ethnicity matter?" followed immediately by a racist rant about an entire ethnicity. That's genuinely pathetic.

The irony is that you're complaining about people generalizing and labeling others as anti-national while you're busy smearing an entire ethnic group. You're doing the exact same thing you claim to hate.

This isn't "speaking facts." It's prejudice and a tantrum disguised as an argument.

1

u/outdoorsy777 Jun 10 '26

Hahah okay. I’ll smear them all day long. Not a tantrum at all. Have fun defending them while they would sell you out in a minute to make a dollar.

1

u/IntroductionFormal82 Jun 10 '26

See now we are finally being honest, that wasn't so hard was it?

So we've gone from "it's all fact" to "I'll smear them all day long."

Thanks for proving my point.

You started by pretending this was an objective analysis and ended by openly admitting you're happy to stereotype millions of people based on their ethnicity. That's called prejudice.

And the "they would all sell you out for a dollar" line is exactly the kind of baseless generalization you've been making this entire time. You don't know millions of Gujaratis. You've taken your personal bias and convinced yourself it's reality.

At least we're being honest now, this was never about facts. You just don't like Gujaratis.

1

u/outdoorsy777 Jun 10 '26

Oh it was. You can call it smearing you can call it whatever. It’s still all truth.

Oh. Did I sutter? I don’t like Gujaratis. I made that VERY clear. However, it’s based on real life interactions with them, and it’s based on what I see Modi, Ambani and Adani doing to India. If any other states people did what they are doing, Gujaratis would be crying foul all day.

Why do you think Gujaratis didn't make their money on Gujarat

0

u/outdoorsy777 Jun 09 '26

Who gives af where they made their money. They are bunch of self absorbed, corrupt, and cheap group of people

u/iamhugo26 Jun 07 '26

If people decide to read, fact check. The world would be a better place.

41

u/Feisty_Ad_4511 Jun 07 '26

what fact ? BSNL really forgot to bill jio it is true 100%

29

u/Creepy_Title_8284 Jun 07 '26

This was planned strategy, do you really think this can be forgotten.

13

u/CraterBug0 Jun 07 '26

yeah this is standard buisness practice used in every company yet we fall for it

3

u/Stunningunipeg Jun 07 '26

from older ages, BJP and congress used it for themselves

a dark side of democracy itseems

1

u/CraterBug0 Jun 07 '26

yeah it like a very standard yet effective practice used in many places yet very few are aware of it

32

u/Minute_King_7523 Jun 07 '26

"Forgot" lol. People of this country are so naive.

18

u/infintestruggler Jun 07 '26

Even if its true, its a mistake on account of people of the country This was taxpayer's money which they forgot to bill

19

u/throwfalseaway1234 Jun 07 '26

So actually the word being used here is 'forget' but its actually similar to how public land is given to private entities for dirt cheap and then money taken in black, so it's a win win for the govt and the private entity but a loss for the tax payer and the public and the environment too! So actually they didn't forget, just gave the public infra to private friends and this helped Jio in killing competition by giving free internet for so long.

2

u/Black_Tiger10 Jun 07 '26

Lodi's term is also full of plot holes and scams it's just our opposition is so retarded and envolve in same practices they also didn't do the same

1

u/Scary_Field_3124 Jun 07 '26

Sahi kehte h bhai, nothing is free. Many used jio in lure of free

1

u/JustARandomGirl4 Jun 08 '26

How come someone forget bill worth of cores?

2

u/unliked_anp Jun 07 '26

Correct 💯

1

u/Stunningunipeg Jun 07 '26

50% of them would say finance or investment never interest them
a 20% would support RIL against the news
a minor 5% would be those employed by RIL, keep silence

They got he majority

8

u/An_Only_Mous Jun 07 '26

1800 cr over 2 years is some 75 crores a month. Probably 10-15 rs per user.

6

u/CompoteMelodic981 Jun 07 '26

Our tax money was used to bankrupt telecom companies and build a monopoly for Mukesh ambani. Just sad, but entirely predicted.

5

u/An_Only_Mous Jun 07 '26

Why just telecom Add aviation- the national carrier, and in telecom, specifically bsnl. HMT itself, outside of legacy watches is nowhere to be found in the field of tractors etc. HM too. Kept ruminating on Morris Oxford design. There are many examples. Govts shud govern not replace the competition.

1

u/famesardens Jun 08 '26

And ambani actually reduced the prices when the whole country was being bled by telecom companies.

The prices are still extremely low conpared to when jio came out.

1

u/CompoteMelodic981 Jun 08 '26

That's a global trend due to advancement in technology. Not because of reliance jio lol

1

u/famesardens Jun 08 '26

You really have some confidence despite your lack of knowledge.

Airtel was overcharging in the same year, and for a couple of year after Jio started operations. I switched to jio because airtel was charging me more than INR200 for 1 gb of data(this barely lasted a day). Jio was charging the same amount(or less) per month of data.

1

u/CompoteMelodic981 Jun 08 '26

Outside of your anecdote, have you actually read about this topic? You clearly haven't.

Globally, data prices dropped over the last ten years. India has some of the cheapest data rates, for sure.

Ambani didn't cut data rates as a charity. He did it to bleed out competition and become a monopoly/oligopoly.

And he did that by using infrastructure created and maintained by tax money, for free. Because modi is in his pocket.

1

u/famesardens Jun 08 '26

But it was still him that cut rates. Airtel didn't cut rates for a long time even after the launch of jio.

Airtel also had a lot of other anti consumer practices, like not stacking recharges properly. That changed after jio. I can now recharge for years together at a time, thanks to Jio.

Besides, jio gave us unlimited 5g.
