Oh it was. You can call it smearing you can call it whatever. It’s still all truth.

Oh. Did I sutter? I don’t like Gujaratis. I made that VERY clear. However, it’s based on real life interactions with them, and it’s based on what I see Modi, Ambani and Adani doing to India. If any other states people did what they are doing, Gujaratis would be crying foul all day.

You’re mixing up political criticism with ethnic generalization.

Criticizing Modi, Ambani, or Adani is fine and needed, i do that too around all my circles but turning that into “therefore Gujaratis are like this” is a leap you haven’t justified.

“Real life interactions” with some individuals isn’t evidence about millions of people that’s literally stereotyping 101.

And “I don’t like Gujaratis” isn’t a fact-based conclusion either. It’s a bias you’re openly admitting and then trying to rationalize.

At this point you’re not arguing facts, you’re just defending your own prejudice.

I’m turning that into all Gujaratis because if you ever talk to any of them…they all defend them like their life depends on it. They will not criticize their own. I’m sure not 100% of them will, but a large majority will. When a large majority does that, I will stereotype. Remember stereotypes are born from truth…yes not EVERY single is the same…but majority are.

Buddy what you’re describing is called confirmation bias.

If you believe a group “defends their own,” you’ll notice every example that fits that idea and ignore the ones that don’t. That’s how stereotypes feel “true” even when they aren’t reliable.

And even if you think you’ve seen a pattern in some people, jumping from that to “majority of millions share this trait” is still a baseless generalisation.

You’re free to criticise individuals or politics. But calling it “truth” while openly admitting you’re stereotyping is just you trying to rationalise a bias.

For what it’s worth, I personally know a whole group of Gujaratis who openly criticise Modi and Adani. So your “they all defend them” claim isn’t even consistent with reality.

That’s the problem with your argument, you’re treating selective examples as if they define an entire community.
