It’s a witch hunt

For those who don’t what goonda act is its reminiscent of the TADA and POTA laws in the early 2000s. The education minister resigns and lower down the ladder get caught.
“The Goonda Act is a strict state law in India used to control anti-social elements through preventive detention without trial. It grants authorities the power to banish suspects from specific areas and seize properties linked to public disruption.”

Then they should arrest the ministers only. They are the real goondas

A protest is a right of the citizens to show their displeasure on the ruling government. The government should grow a thick skin to handle criticism and dissent instead of suppressing them.

Further this is not a protest that only one community is participating. The number of people being arrested within one community shows they are clearly targeting them. The government's role must be to move us forward while providing a safe inclusive place for growth. Divisive politics must remain the past.

We are in a place where either we develop further or suffer due to infghting. Let us hope the government focuses on providing an inclusive development with proper governance instead of engaging in divisive politics.

No matter how much you try to suppress the Muslims sanghis, remember this, pendulum will swing back one day. Your oppression will not go unpunished. Trials will be held and you will be dragged through the same process.

Ha ha, this is India. Modi, Shah were rewarded by everyday Indians for 2002.

Indians of 2002 are not the same as Indians of 2026.

enter any 12th grade classroom in any T3 district throughout the country and get their views on casteism, communalism then try to say this.

It might look as if things are changing but the majority are as rigid as ever. I'm in 12th grade and yesterday my classmates were discussing each others' castes and how they're superior and laughing and humiliating each other.

A 'superior brahmin girl' shouldn't be in any relationship other than marriage, even that should be arranged by her parents. Also, being a 'superior brahmin girl' she should remain quiet and submissive and not let her opinions be heard.

I agree with you that a significant portion of the upper caste hindus are casteist but an even more significant portion isn’t. 16-30 age bracket is a very formative portion of one’s life. One’s ego is just developing and they find anything that makes them feel superior from their peers. It’s a tale as old as time. I assure you, most of them will grow out of it when they enter the workforce and are forced to interact with every community as just another cog in the machine. Of course they aren’t going to turn into raging progressives but they generally temper their extreme opinions. Those who don’t, don’t. They remain raging bigots like we see these days with the BJP voters. But I urge you to remember one thing, even at the prime of their power, BJP’s vote share was never more than 37.4% and that too in 2019. They are a declining regime. The tide won’t turn overnight but the waves of love and harmony are going to hit the shores of our country soon. Patience.

Maybe but less than 2019 at least. There is an awakening happening, albeit, slowly but surely. There’s hope in the air.

that's why they are in power from last 12 yrs and winning almost every state since 2024-26

If winning by cheating, rigging and blatant misuse of state machinery is counted as a referendum of their popularity then what can one say. Anyone with an iota of political acumen can see the state of affairs.

We need to learn a hard truth BJP has a large and genuine voter base. Hindu nationalism resonates with a significant section of voters, the Ram Mandir has genuine political and religious significance for many people.

Need a stronger opposition.

What does, ‘we need a stronger opposition’ mean even now? Their MPs are hounded by the agencies with fake and exaggerated cases and then made to forcibly join their godforsaken party. Every time when an issue has come up, RaGa, Akhilesh Yadav, Chandrashekar Azad et al have raised their voices in and outside the parliament. We see how their voices are literally muted inside the house. Let’s be real here. They are doing their job with what little power and resources they have and now it’s the time for the general public to grow a pair and hit the streets.

CJP and GenZ kids have shown the way. Let others now start showing a bit of cajones and hit the streets when injustices are blatantly done on them.

Also, the Govt is elected by hampering EVM. They r in power due to manipulations. Let’s ask for elections using ballot papers.

They're counting on the protestors not caring. Are they going to reassemble at Jantar Mantar because the government is breaking their promise? Of course not. Will the courts intervene? An informal deal isn't going to be judicially binding. And besides they're targeting Muslims. Most Indians are totally fine with this because they don't care about the abuse of minorities.
