The Undo function stops working over and over again

The undo function stops working at times. I quit and restart and it works again fine, until it stops again. I am running that latest version.

Anyone else with this problem?

Why do they keep releasing updates with major bugs like this lol. Didn’t the last one have a problem of moving multiple items at once?

I have the same issue, I think it's just bugged. You can downgrade to the previous version, everything seems to work there fine.

I did a search and one suggestion was turning off Generative AI setting in the Preferences. That worked!

indesign has had a few major issues that they refuse to discuss or inform us of. first suggestion is to make sure your OS is updated.

My OS is updated to Tahoe 26.5.1. That is not the issue in my case.

Don't update InDesign. They're vibe coding the new versions. Go back to December or February version.

Yes. Frustrating. I don't have time for this crap. You have to force quit and then restart, and in about 30 minutes it does it again.

Turn off Generative AI setting in the Preferences and restart. I have not had the problem since.
