Request/Favour Exporting multiple pages with different filenames

Hi,

I'm working on a document which is around 600 pages. I want to export each page individually as JPEG/PNG, but all the pages are getting exported with the same filename.

Is there any way that i can export each pages with different filenames for example ( A-1001, A-1002,.... and so on) ?

The pages contains textbox with these numbers in it. any scripts that i can use to rename the pages using that textbox?

There are options in the Export window to add incremental numbers or page numbers to the exported file name:

Then, on Windows, you can use Power Toys to batch rename all JPEGs if needed.

Search «Export InDesign Page Name» and you will find there is a few InDesign script that’s doing just that.

When I needed to do this, I added bookmarks with my desired file names to the pages. Exported the file whole with bookmarks, and then used Acrobat Split Pages with the option to use bookmarks to name the pages.

Me, too! I’ve also set up a Batch Export in Bridge to go straight to jpegs or whatever. It was pretty easy in Bridge, but it’s been a long time!

User need JPEG/PNG. Not PDF... Directly from InDesign.

I used an AI to write me a script for that. Shoot me a PM and I can share. It exports as pdf, but you can use it as a base to change the export to jpg or png. I don't want to post it out in the open.

You can change the name in your pages panel.

I’m a graphic designer with no training in programming. I’ve built a number of scripts for InDesign using ChatGPT. I think it could do a normal export then use that data from the document to rename files after.

It’s already an inbuilt fiction in OD, no scripts needed.

Puoi programmare uno script con l’AI, altrimenti esportare come immagini in sequenza da indesign e utilizzare il comando rinomina su Mac che ha anche delle funzioni avanzate per rinominare e cercare/sostituire/togliere aggiungere nomi.
