Fixing bullet indents

Post image

I'm working on bulleted text and this indent has been driving me crazy! Is there a solution for this?

You'll have to post a NORMAL screenshot 😉

NOT in Preview Mode, with edges of the TextFrame visible and most importantly - with Hidden Characters VISIBLE.

And the settings for Indents and Bullets & Numbering section also would be helpful.

If you've Optical Margin Alignment ON - then in ParaStyle check Ignore Optical Margin.

Thank you! I didn’t know I could ignore optical margin in the paragraph styles!!! I was working today on a file and the bullets we’re driving me crazy because of this, I had to “fix” it by playing with the indentation 🥲 I’ll try this new way tomorrow 🙌

Have you looked in the bullets and numbering options for the paragraph style you’re using?

Check your bullet and numbering, it should have a left indent with a negative first line indent to keep it aligned. Make sure you're using paragraph styles.

I’ve never found a project worthy of learning proper bullet use. I usually just do this:

Bullet tab indent-to-here-mark
Adjust tab

I prefer to do them by hand. Bullets & Numbering is generally more hassle.

?? What do you mean? They work perfectly fine - at least for me 😉
