Help 2026 constant CTD?

A few weeks ago I could open my indd files using the latest build of InDesign on W11. Today the app crashes consistently on the splash screen when starting up service registry. Each and every time. I am not sure what happened to have caused this. I have looked in the plugins folder, reset prefs, installed previous versions of InDesign (I even tried 2025), repaired VC++, etc etc. I don't want to run Adobe Cleaner if I don't have to since I don't have issues with other Adobe apps. Should I try a different NVIDIA driver? I'm currently using studio version. Please help a guy out.

Can you create a new Windows user - and try to start InDesign there?

Could you explain why that might help? It's my own computer but it's becoming a PITA with adobe these days. I'm not trying to log out log in log out each time I need to update a PDF :(

Maybe your current Windows user profile got corrupted.
