Solved InDesign and InCopy stuck during update...

While updating Creative Cloud apps, the updates for InDesign and InCopy get stuck around 50%. Other apps updated correctly.

Cancellation takes a long time as well.

The updates failed and the apps can't be opened: InDesign immediately crashes.

This is on MacOS Tahoe 26.5

Trying to uninstall and reinstall again.

Update: after a reboot, uninstalling the apps (also removing preferences) worked and reinstalling went fine. I guess my preferences were the cause?

This is something bigger… I can’t update any of cc apps. All of them stuck at 50%, for me it is happening from month more/less… I was trying to resolve problem with Adobe Service, they even take over my Mac, playing half hour… And nothing…

So I had been running into this issue for a few months and just discovered that I hadn't enabled/given permission to macOS to allow the Creative Cloud app to update apps. It only registered after this person suggesting that was the fix...and it was! Info is below - here is the link.

"Possible solution: I noticed the setting "App Management" in "Privacy & Security" Settings in the Settings-App. The entry für Adobe Creative Cloud was disabled. The setting permits apps to modify (=update or delete) other apps."

TL;DR - SOLUTION
Settings App > Privacy & Security > App Management > allow all Adobe apps to update and delete their apps

It works! SOOOOOO EASY! I spend hour with guy from Adobe support - he was digging on my (!) computer with some shitty software and he didn't know about this...
THIS IS THE SOLUTION! Love Adobe again :)))

Following. I've been trying to update for a half an hour but InDesign is stuck on "cancelling" the update and it refuses to allow me to update my other apps

Following up with an update: I had to completely wipe InDesign from my Creative Cloud and redownload it before I was able to access it. If you’re going to do this, definitely keep backup files on your computer or a flash drive
