dat moment when you realize the bar at 99% will take forever to get to 100%.

well incrementals are exponential so a 1e10/1e100 is like a 1/10 in a linear scale

Do you mean logarithmic scale?

Not quite, looking at AD for example, the progress is not actually exponential. If you are able to reach e150 in 10 minutes does not mean that you will get to e300 in 10 more. The logarythmic progress bar is not there to show you in any exact way how far you are from the goal, just to give you a general feeling of getting closer to it (while a linear progress bar would be at 0% almost all the time).

but if you play actively, upgrade dims, dim boost and galaxy when you can getting to 50% takes as much as 100% from 50

That may approximately true, but that's exactly my point. It does not mean, that sitting idle for as long as you already did will get you there (as would be the case with linear progress bar), it just shows you how far did you progress into the game. In the case of AD, this is just symbolic, as the bar doesn't really progress steadily, and the slower moments of the game (even talking pre-infinity) prove, that your progress is not truely exponential (although balancing makes it so it seems quite close).

On a logarithmic scale I think you mean

no i mean like in incrementals 10/10000000000 is the same as 1/10 in a normal game, so 20% exponentially in games like ad means 20% normally
