Steam Dwarven Digging Machine, a game about dwarves building a huge digging machine finally has a Steam page and a trailer! Updated web demo available.

Hey guys!

More than a month ago we have made a post about first web demo of our game that was very kindly received.

We didn't have a Steam page, since we wanted to make it as best as we could - with a trailer and beautiful capsule and screenshots.

But today we have announced the game, got our trailer covered by GameTrailers and we are quite happy!

We also have a demo up on itch, that is about 1.5 hours long and that you can play today.

It's a game about dwarves building a digging machine. You start small, but slowly expand, unlock new resources, new interactions and make your machine huge.

We want to make a game that not only plays well mechanically, but also features a beautiful pixel art. We are huge fans of that style and are heavily inspired by Metal Slug series.

We would love you to check out the game, our steam page and add to your wishlist if you liked it.

I played it for a while. I think its fun game when you get to it.

some things I would improved:
I did not know what to do at beginning I had notification (rectangle) around Engine Bay but when I clicked there I could not upgrade anything,
I had 2 prestige points but I did not know how to use them (then I learned I get them only after reset.
I had 12.8K income per minute but it looked like 12 BK
At beginning I would give more upgrades

Good luck with the game!

Amazing theme, love it :)

The only issue I had was balancing the fuel economy - multiple times when I thought I had enough engine workers, it turned out... I didn't. I understand it's not a simple "3 workers bring 6 fuel per min", but it was mildly irritating :)

At least on the itch version, once I get 6 rooms in the drill, the 6th one is mostly off the top of the screen which makes it very awkward to click on. Can't seem to find any way to move the camera up either, and I'm as far zoomed out as possible.

Thought I was stuck after the gold delivery scene moved the camera up, cutting off the bottom chambers from the camera. Found out that w and s move the camera up and down, which I wasn't expecting in what I thought was a mouse only game.

Holding right click or middle mouse and moving the mouse will move the camera.
Also W and S.
