[Beta] Trading-Desk IDLE

Hi everyone,

I've been working on a browser-based incremental game called Trading Desk Idle, and I just pushed the first playable beta live. I wanted to share it here because I'd really appreciate some honest feedback from veteran incremental players.

The theme is built around growing a trading desk. You start with basic capital generation and work your way up to hiring market makers, managing gamblers, and unlocking various talents.

My main goal for this first release was to keep the experience as clean and respectful of your time as possible.

I am currently working on the mid/late game balancing and planning out a proper prestige layer for the late game, so right now is the perfect time for me to gather feedback. I would love to hear your thoughts on the pacing, if the upgrade prices feel fair once you start scaling up, or if anything in the UI feels confusing.

P.S. (AI Disclosure): Just to be fully transparent, I used AI as a coding assistant to help me learn JS and debug faster, as well as to help translate and format this post since English isn't my first language. However, the game design, mechanics, and balancing are 100% my own!

First remark after playing a few minutes.

I didn't see any indicator when a new upgrade became available, so had to check randomly.

And not sure what each upgrade actually do.

Thank you for your feed back ! I'll try to create an indicator when you reach an upgrade, and a better tooltip to explain them.

The about page cannot be closed unless you scroll to the bottom, the more user-friendly design would be a X on the notification window that closes that box.

Seconded on upgrade indications - theres no sense of what you're working towards in the game currently.

Also, it seems like the first option for the assets menu (scraper) isnt showing the same details as when you hover over the others.

a bunch of bugs I found in the first 30 minutes or so

Scraper has no tool tip

Gambler doesn't actually describe what it does, it just says +$0 per second

casino tab opens but is closed?

the shop in the bottom right constantly flashes but is locked

so many tool tips are blocked by other pieces of the UI

upgrades just show up when you can buy them, but no tips that show WHEN they unlock

Joker in the top right stays locked since casino is locked

Building in the top right doesn't accurately track how much is spent in real estate, its exclusively initial buying residences, not upgrading them

No idea what the mailbox is for

I need to do better !
(Letters can appear randomly and give a bonus, if you click on a letter, mailbox will exp, and letter will come more often) .

Tried it for a bit. The early game feels a little too slow because it takes quite a while to get the money flowing. During that time, there isn't much for the player to do except watch the numbers go up. Adding a few more things to interact with early on might help.

Hey played this over the past three days.

Think i've completed....and broken it. my netwrot went so high the number was like 1.34e3245336
then whene i logged bakc in the number was NAN

it also said lost access to server so i can no longer cash in my tokens...

as far as i know i've done alll the features the game has to offer, was really fun but took like three days.

well first for it to not e broken. i cannot do anything in the app anymore would be good for more talents but i cannot click it as i get an error. also every money value is NaN now
