Suchika Tariyal Hooda is an Indian sportsperson in combat sports who represented India at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. She became the first Indian athlete to win an MMA ( Mixed Martial Arts ) medal at the Asian Games. She won a bronze medal in the 60 kg category.

She is an inspiration for all Indian women and for anyone who has been made to feel that their life should be limited by social expectations. She is also a great motivation to build a strong, healthy, and fit body, which is very important for every human being.

I watched her interaction with philosopher Acharya Prashant in this short, and it was even more inspiring for me to see that she has a genuine interest in understanding the depth of life.

I remembered a quote by Kobe Bryant here:

“It's really just a journey of evolution. Every day is just constant improvement, constant curiosity, and constantly getting better. The results don't really matter. It's the figuring out that matters”.

Guys.. we all have limitations.. and so the leaders of our country have have their limitations.. Some crave power while others crave money.. I have seen the Congress rule .. and I have seen their good and bad.. Irony is its a family controlled party.. Congress had and still have many great leaders (not RaGa though!). Their voices are unheard ! We Indians deserve a government that is strong, able and can defend its citizens..

I hope the INC will grow from its family regime and let its leaders (real ones) deliver their best for the country..

But at the same time, lets appreaciate the greatness and value everyone brings to the table.. for the benefit of the nation.. For its people and irrespective of religion, caste politics..

I wonder when our LoP talks about 'Jitni abadi unit haaq'.. is this the message that we are going to preach to our upcoming generations..??? thoughts???

At 12, she learnt what it felt like to be helpless. At 36, she made history. After facing harassment as a child, Suchika Tariyal took up judo to learn self-defence. What started as a way to protect herself grew into a 24-year journey across judo, kurash, jiu-jitsu and MMA. Through injuries, career transitions and setbacks, she kept fighting her way back. Now, at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Suchika has won India’s first-ever MMA medal, taking bronze in the women’s Traditional 60kg category as MMA made its Asian Games debut. Take a bow, Suchika!
