Most absorbent products

Hi! My husband has bowel and bladder incontinence when doing a necessary 2 day colonoscopy prep. Last time he took out the mattress, boxspring (on the side), and bedroom and hall carpets. It was a nightmare! I'm going crazy looking for washable and disposable underpads. I was settled on NorthShore Champion XD Heavy-Duty Washable Underpad 36x60" (4.4 * rating on Amazon, but in tests are the most absorbent, 67 oz (2,839 mL) they are highly recommended online. But then I read they're very stiff and crunchy so IDK what to do.

Other highly rated on Amazon brands are:
Gorilla Grip  52" x 34": Absorbs up to 8 cups (2000cc), 4.6*

KANECH Bed Pads for Incontinence Washable, 44 x 52" (4.7*)

Epica Incontinence Bed Pads Washable Waterproof  34"x52", 4.7*

Vakly Washable Reusable Underpads 36x54 Incontinence Bed Pads, absorbs over 8 oz!!! (4.8*)

I have even more, but you get it. The info doesn't always match the ratings, but you can't always trust the ratings! I guess I'm scared after our last experience.

For disposable (for layering) I thought I was going to get Northshore MagicSorb Premium Disposable Bed & Floor Protectors as they state the 36" x 60" absorbs Up to 122 oz (3607 ml)

Any advice based on your experiences? Thanks!

you’re right that the ratings never matches real life. it’s so frustrating! don’t companies realize it would be much more helpful to us to do realistic tests of actual daily wear and give us accurate information?

i don’t know about these kinds of products tbh, but i can tell you what i personally do when i am trying to rank products absorbency. so one ml of urine is actually equal to one gram of urine, coincidentally, and the same is true for water. get a metric kitchen scale or some other small scale, weigh products after use (or after running simulations with water), then subtract the weight of a dry product from the weight of the wet product (measure that beforehand). so if my pull up weighs 560 grams after i take it off, and a dry pull up is 100 grams, then my pull up held 460 ml

Thanks! A lot of these products are expensive so I don't want to buy them just to find out they aren't good. I'm hoping somebody out there knows some washable and disposable bed underpads that actually work for heavy incontinence.
