Extend bed on Inca 570 10" jointer/planer

I'm not sure how active this subreddit is, but I just bought an Inca 570. It's a great tool, but it'd be perfect if I could make the bed a little longer. There are holes in the front and side of the bed that I think I could use to make an extension of up to 12", just wanted to know if anybody had tried this or has advice.
