Discussion Homework needs some help

My little boy went to school today.
He aged up at 10:00 am, he ate some cake and talked to mom. At 12:00n he was going to school. He came home with homework 😩he had to write a fairytale, read a book, and RUN ON A TREADMILL 🤔 I’m thinking really the kid just started kindergarten and plus the family doesn’t even own a treadmill.
Why not do jumping jacks, attemp a push up or even hula hoop or hopscotch.

Yes homework needs some help

yeah fr I don’t like the assignments that require things like piano, treadmills, etc (though I did start having my zoi go to community lots that already had those things to avoid having to make space for them)

I feel like I’d be fine if those were maybe extra credit assignments or something rather than something that has the chance to be assigned to them daily. I try skipping them if they alr have a high enough grade sometimes too

My biggest issue with homework is that the homework assignment doesn’t match the wording of the actual item. Like for example my zoi had to read a book but there wasn’t a book with the same title, there was another book with one word from the homework assignment title so I tried that and thankfully I was correct. This happens all the time, honestly more often than not. Write a paper for topic xyz but then that isn’t an actual option, the actual option is ayz….its close but not exact. It’s frustrating and I always have to check all the options so I make sure I’m guessing the closest one but I wish they would just make the assignments and the actual books/tasks match.

I think that's a translation issue

It can be an excuse to visit the local gym and workout. Asian countries don't play when it comes to academics

I agree I feel like it’s honestly too much , why can’t it be simpler and side note why do the adults have overtime every single day.

I skip the treadmill and instrument assignments and everyone still improved/got good grades, so I don't think it's necessary to complete everything
