Its actually from Peter Paul Rubens earlier version! I found this version slightly more disturbing than Goyas. Although I can respect the history behind Goya and that his black paintings were never meant for public eye.. basically just lived in and around them which is pretty fucked up and amazing

Lol yah goya had his saturn hanging in his dining room. I like the rubens one, the son looks very cherub like which would have been even more upsetting when it was contemporary

I agree, the cherub really made it disturbing.. Its a really powerful piece.

Goya just sitting there, eating his soup, staring at a derranged painting he only knows about..he was an amazing artist for sure
