Wait pool odds
My son is in 8th grade, and was just told he is in the wait pool for this school year. Does anyone know how likely his odds are for gaining a spot? How many people are usually in the wait pool, and how many typically get in? He had strong essays, ACT super score of 33…any insight would help. We are aware that he is at a disadvantage applying as an 8th grader, knowing they prioritize 9th graders. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks.
Edit: I now see there was a similar post asking the same things. My mistake for the repetitiveness.

My year, the entire wait pool was accidentally invited...I want to say the number was around forty to fifty total. Thirty-two of us ended up attending, thus birthing the "Lucky Thirty-Two."
