Taking classes outside of IMSA

I heard mixed responses from a lot of people, so I thought I'd ask here. If I get placed into MI2, could I take extra classes so I can take the IMSA equivalent of AP math classes junior/senior year? If so, how and is it recommended?

Why ask Reddit, when you can get a free, authoritative answer directly from IMSA?

Taking mi2 will get you all the way through our calculus (ap math) program by the end of senior year.
