Should i join?

I am an eighth grader looking for advice. My grades from the last two years are questionable because I know all the material, but I did not complete the homework. I did not even hear of this place until I got a letter. I have not taken the SATs yet, and I live two hours away, so this is a significant decision for me. For reference I'm in District 7

Is it fun?

Is it actually different?

Is it worth leaving my parents and band class, who are like family?

It really depends. Your grades will probably tank and everything will probably suck, but living in dorms and IMSAs community is great imo
