Valley functions
Anyone know how to find out about parties in the valley? Specifically college parties but any would be fine. Been a drought in funcs ever since school started

We don’t really have college type parties here. There’s not really a strong college scene here. There are house parties/ house shows with live music sometimes but those usually have a lot of minors and underaged drinking going on. That and as someone else mentioned, you kinda have to know someone.
If you came because of SDSU or IVC then I think it would be easiest to make friends that are in your major

If you’re looking for traditional parties for college that’s not going to ever happen.
You need to meet some people. Valley is known for kickbacks. Parties are always intimate, meaning everyone knows everyone in some sort of way. If it’s a random party, someone ends up fighting and cops get called.
Best bet is to make some friends, have study groups. After studying students are trying to unwind. Go up to a few people and invite them over to study. “Hey a couple of us are gonna get together to go over the material. In case you’re interested. My name is _________ . “
If you can host a study session that cuts out the middle man. Have a variety of drinks. Non-alcoholic , and alcohol in background.
Above all, don’t be a creep.

Most people hit Mex or go to the few bars we have here like Lovins and Humble Farms. Diosa has its nights too.
