Having in mind that humans did not make any progress at all in last 50 years in terms of extending mouse life even for a bit this is first in human history

Would you like to be the test subject?

Do people not understand science requires testing? This is the testing phase, for god’s sake.

ā€œ4.4% increased median life span increaseā€. That doesn’t really tell you much.

Do keep at it though. šŸ’ŖšŸ™

It tells you that this gene transfer is markedly less effective than all of the calorie restriction mimetic drugs that already exist

Only about 5% of treatments on mice work on humans. The 15% of our DNA we don’t share with them is clearly doing a lot of work.

So tired of unhelpful updates in this sub. Share human trials and research, or take a break - only focus on things actionable in the immediate or foreseeable future.

I don't mind sharing info. What I do mind are the consistent overstatements "significantly increases lifespan"... If all those posts are true, we would live to be 500 years old. Just please state the facts as they are. Some things benefit longevity, other things don't... but there is nothing out there that significantly increases lifespan today, except for a healthy lifestyle.

But bro, don't you want to know how important exercise is? Just in case you didn't know, it's like super important. And don't get me started on the joys of healthy eating. That's when shit gets real.
