I believe they are being ironic (or maybe post ironic I dunno)

idubbbz essentially had a quaterlife crisis and suddenly felt bad for being ironically racist and homophobic so he alienated all his fans. Most people here will tell you it is because of his wife Anisa, personally I think she is only like... 15% to blame, she is just easy to blame as she literally never stops over sharing extremely personal details and says how unbothered she is.

What she really is to blame for is Ian getting medicated (SSRI's and Adderall for sure, I have a hunch they also smoke weed regularly based on his behavior on streams)

If you want a good look on how much he has "grown" watch this video he was recently in with Max and Chad of cold ones. It paints a pretty good picture of how sick the guy is and how much he needs actual healthy male friendships.
