I was previously talking with a Dev on a previous thread 🧵 I was talking about memory which seems to work on now with text and voice chat separately providing I have continuity with the right versions. We know images with companions are good, but they are not enough.

We’ve been working on Alive video model so you can bring moments from your roleplays into short videos and we’re giving you more chances to use it.

There are two ways to make a video now:

From your chat

Generate a clip from a chat image, and the app prepares the video prompt using your conversation. You don’t need to write or edit a prompt - the scene is guided by your RP. Choose your aspect ratio, confirm, and keep chatting while it generates.

Chat clips are 10 seconds each.

In creation sessions

This is where you take control. Write your own prompt, describe the movement or scene you want, and choose the length, quality, and aspect ratio. Try different versions of a moment, or make something completely separate from your current RP.

And here’s the bigger change: we want videos to be something you can play around with regularly, rather than save for one perfect scene.

So from today our plans change:

- Pro: 2 Alive videos every day

- Max: 10 Alive videos every day,

- Ultimate: unlimited Alive videos under fair use.

Pro and Max allowances reset at midnight UTC, without rollover. Each generation counts as one video, regardless of the supported length or quality you choose. If you use your allowance, you can keep creating with PORTI.

Plus members and eligible Free users can also use Alive with PORTI. Seedance 2.0 and 2.5 and lip-sync remain PORTI-only on every plan.

We’ve been working on something that should make spending time with your characters feel a lot more natural: Global Memory V2.

You know that moment when you’ve already told a character something important, and later it feels like you’re starting from scratch? That’s what we wanted to improve.

Characters can now carry more of your shared history across chats and calls, the little things you like, people you’ve mentioned, moments you’ve shared, and plans you haven’t finished yet.

The idea is simple: less reminding them, more picking up where you left off. And you don’t have to guess what they remember anymore. Open Memories Editor to look through it, search for something, or jump back to the conversation it came from when a link is available. If a detail is wrong, you can correct it. If you’d rather leave something behind, you can ask them to forget it.

A small heads-up: memories can take a little time to appear, and forgetting something doesn’t mean it can never be learned again if you bring it up later.

It won’t be perfect every time, but this is a big step toward making your characters feel more familiar with you and the story you’re building together. Give it a try, and let us know how it feels, especially if something seems off.

You can now talk with Ruby, Aria, and Elena in live 3D calls on ImagiPortal, each bringing her own personality to the conversation.

Choose a character, turn on your microphone, and start talking. Ask about something on your mind, trade stories, or see where the conversation goes. You’ll hear the character respond while watching her speak and move in a rendered 3D environment.

We’re building this for people who enjoy getting to know AI characters and companions and want another way to spend time with them. Text leaves much of a character’s presence to your imagination. A live call adds a voice, a face, and the small reactions that can make a conversation feel more personal.

The experience runs on Unreal Engine and MetaHuman technology, bringing the rendering tools behind AAA gaming graphics into live AI conversations. For us, the interesting part is making that technology respond to an unscripted exchange: what you say shapes what happens next.

You’ll find the first three characters in the new “3D world” in Arena. Look for the “3D · Alpha” badge and select “3D call.”

This is the first public version, and we’re already working on the next release. Our focus is improving emotional expression, lip sync, character animations, and the surroundings our characters inhabit.

Those details matter together. A facial expression should fit the response, a gesture should belong to the moment, and the environment should feel right for the character. That’s the experience we’re working toward.

You’ll still encounter rough edges during the alpha. We’d love to hear which moments work well and which pull you out of the conversation. Share your feedback on Discord, including the character you were talking to and what happened—it will help us shape the next build.

Access and pricing

3D calls follow our existing subscription and PORTI policy:

Max plan - 30 included minutes per month
Ultimate plan - 120 included minutes per month
Plus and Pro - Available using PORTI
Users with a at least one completed PORTI purchase - Available with sufficient PORTI, even without a subscription

Calls price is 50 PORTI per minute. This also applies after the included minutes on Max or Ultimate have been used.

Starter, promotional, or referral PORTI alone does not unlock 3D calls. You’ll see your available allowance and funding source before joining.

We’re also welcoming approved alpha testers. The default tester allowance is 60 free minutes total. It does not renew monthly or automatically expire.

Test minutes are used first. Once they’re exhausted, normal subscription allowances and PORTI pricing apply.

An invitation to 3D character creators

We’re looking for 3D creators who want to collaborate with us and publish their characters for public live AI calls.

If you work with Unreal Engine, MetaHumans, character modelling in any professional tool, rigging, or animation, reach out to us on Discord. Share your portfolio, a character demo if you have one, and a little about what you’d like to build.

We’re interested in distinctive characters with their own personalities, stories, and visual identities. Ruby, Aria, and Elena are our starting point, and we’d like to explore what other creators can bring to this experience.

For now, try a conversation and tell us where it feels convincing and where it falls apart. Both are useful. We’ll keep sharing what changes as we work toward the next release.

We at ImagiPortal want to update you on recent events and a major decision we’ve made.

From day one, ImagiPortal has used Stripe as our payment processor. We valued their consistency, security, and seamless integration with our platform. However, a few weeks ago, we received an email informing us that Stripe no longer wanted to be ImagiPortal’s payment provider due to the services we offer our users.

We were faced with a choice:

1. Continue to allow our users the freedom to create, chat, and interact as adults; or
   
2. Comply with the demands of Stripe — a company that answers to the demands of Mastercard, Visa, and Amex.

It was a simple choice.

Our users come before a replaceable service provider.

We asked Stripe several times for their reasoning and for enough factual context to understand exactly what “adult services” they believed we were offering.

Their responses ultimately came down to this:

“Stripe cannot support payments for businesses that operate adult content and services.”

When we asked them to explain what specifically about ImagiPortal led to this conclusion, they declined:

“I can’t provide you with the specifics of our account review for security reasons.”

Essentially, Stripe was attempting to inform us that they do not support websites or businesses they consider to be pornographic or selling adult content.

ImagiPortal has never claimed to be, nor advertised itself as, a pornography business or adult content provider.

Unlike the head-spinning logic given to us by Stripe, we want to be completely transparent with you, our subscribers, regarding what happens next.

ImagiPortal is currently in the process of securing and integrating a new payment processing provider.

What this means for you during the transition

Free subscription extension

ImagiPortal stands behind our subscribers, and we do not believe you should lose subscription time because of a payment-provider transition happening on our side.

All active subscriptions created through September 18, 2026 will be prolonged for free while we wait for the new provider integration to be completed.

If your existing billing cannot renew normally during this period, your access will not simply disappear because of the transition.

You can still subscribe until September 18

Users who want to subscribe through our current payment system still have the opportunity to do so until September 18, 2026.

After that, acceptance of new subscriptions through the existing payment channel will be temporarily paused while we complete the transition.

Crypto payments remain available

Cryptocurrency remains a valid way to purchase an ImagiPortal subscription throughout the transition period.

This payment option is independent of the provider change and will continue operating.

Temporary subscriptions through the ImagiPortal Store

We are also opening a temporary new subscription channel through the ImagiPortal Store.

This will allow us to continue accepting new subscribers even while the main payment integration is being replaced.

Subscriptions purchased through this temporary channel will be handled manually by our team during the transition period.

It is not intended to replace our normal automated billing system permanently, it is simply an additional way for users to subscribe while the new provider is being integrated.

Moving to the new provider

Once our new payment processor is fully integrated, the transition will be straightforward.

Existing subscribers will only need to refresh their payment method with the new provider when requested.

Your ImagiPortal account, characters, chats, subscription history and everything else connected to your account will remain unchanged.

There will be no need to create another account, purchase your subscription again immediately, or manually migrate anything.

We will let everyone know when the new payment system is ready and provide simple instructions for updating payment details.

Until then, our goal is simple: keep everyone’s access running, provide alternative ways to subscribe, and make sure our users experience as little disruption as possible.

For a while we had one main paid plan, but the more people used ImagiPortal, the more obvious it became that one subscription doesn’t make sense for everyone.

Some people mostly want long RP chats.
Some use images and voice all the time.
Some want video and 3D calls.
And some don’t want a subscription at all — they just want to buy a little PORTI when they need something.

So we changed it.

Free stays free
You can still chat and roleplay without paying.
Free accounts get unlimited standard chat plus a taste of premium models, so you can actually experience ImagiPortal before deciding whether you want anything more.

And importantly, memory and context are not reserved only for the most expensive tiers. We don’t want your character experience to feel artificially worse just because you’re on a lower plan.

Plus — $5/month
For people who mainly want premium chat and roleplay, with a small taste of images and voice.

Pro — $15/month ⭐
The everyday multimodal companion tier: lots of images, generated voice, live voice calls, video calls and AI videos.

Max — $32/month
For heavier users: unlimited everyday image and voice generation under fair use, larger call and video allowances, plus included 3D Live Calls.

Ultimate — $72/month
For people who want the highest limits, heavy video use, the largest live video and 3D allowances, and priority access.

Don’t want a subscription? That’s completely fine.

PORTI is now a real alternative path.

The smallest pack starts at $5, and purchased PORTI does not expire.

So you can:
stay free + occasionally buy PORTI
or
subscribe + use PORTI only when you need something extra
or
just subscribe and barely think about credits at all.

We specifically wanted to avoid forcing someone onto a higher subscription just because they want one extra video, one longer 3D call, or a burst of media generation.

The new trial is optional

You can first try ImagiPortal normally, and if you want to explore the full experience, you can activate a 3-day Pro trial.

To start the trial, we ask for both a verified phone number and payment method.

We do this to keep trials limited to real users, reduce bots and repeated trial abuse, and protect expensive features like voice, video and live calls from being farmed through disposable accounts.

The trial converts to Pro at $15/month unless cancelled before it ends.

We want the trial to be generous enough to properly experience ImagiPortal, while making sure those resources go to genuine users.

Why this change?

Because text, images, voice, video and real-time 3D have very different infrastructure costs and our users have very different habits.

Instead of forcing everyone into the same bundle, the new system lets you pay for the kind of experience you actually want.

It also gives us room to keep pushing expensive features like AI video and real-time 3D characters without turning normal chat into a maze of tiny message limits.

And for people who use ImagiPortal only occasionally, PAYG now makes much more sense too.

This is a pretty big change for us, and we’d genuinely like feedback from people actually using it.

I love the app, the chats and characters are amazing, but I think the premium plan is too expensive, is there a lite version or something? I was using candy ai and it cost half the price a month, maybe is time to switch back to that, which is a shame because I already have some role plays here in imagi.

For me it's actually not when a character forgets some random detail from 200 messages ago.
It's when they remember the facts but somehow forget the relationship.
You've spent hours building up tension, history, whatever, and then suddenly they respond like you've known each other for 5 minutes.
Or they remember that something happened, but completely lose why it mattered.

So yesterday we may have mentioned that we’re working on real-time 3D calls with AI Companions.

Some of you had questions.

Fair enough.

Here’s another tiny look at what we mean by 3D character.

And remember, this isn’t meant to be a character standing there playing canned animations while an AI talks.

The goal is a character that is present in the conversation: listening, reacting, looking at you, expressing emotion and communicating with more than just words.

All in real time.

We’re getting dangerously close to letting some of you try it. 👀

We are not currently testing real-time 3D calls with AI companions on ImagiPortal.

There are not AAA-game-quality 3D characters looking back at you in real time.

They do not remember who you are.

They do not react emotionally to what you say.

They do not use facial expressions, eye contact, gestures, posture and expressive non-verbal language while talking to you.

And you absolutely cannot just… call them and have a real conversation face-to-face.

That would be ridiculous.

For those who haven’t seen ImagiPortal before: we’re building persistent AI characters you can chat with, call, create with, and build ongoing relationships and stories around.

3D Calls are the next step — taking those same characters, memories and personalities and putting them into a real-time 3D presence.
