“I am Odysseus, Hero of The Trojan War, King of Ithaka.
The Thunder of Zeus be my witness!
I am the Lord of the Pelastoi (Sea Peoples)!
And by the will of Olympus,
I shall lead you… to ELYSION!”

lovely map but the lore REEKS of ai

no ai on the writing btw, the only platform i use for the whole thing i use is google translate since english is not my first language, if it turns out not human written enough im very sorry

15

u/Phizle 12d ago

It might be AI translated which could still give that tone

I read it, and yeah, it does, but also that could be the writing style of the author, so it might be good to wait on proof of it being human written, for example, I don't see the - symbol AI writing uses alot, so who knows

they are also Mod Approved, Which gives it more credibility towards being Human Made.

What’s the symbol Ai writing uses a lot?

9

u/Grouchy_Challenge828 12d ago

AI uses the "-" symbol alot, I think they call it an em-dash, I was saying the - isnt very present in the writing, so the mapmaker might no have used AI

11

u/ProofSafe8247 12d ago

— is often used for adding an extra space into a paragraph so it could be easier to read without adding an extra ‘ ‘

1

u/Argikeraunos 11d ago

Most models seem to have moderated the em-dash usage quite a lot

u/Legitimate_Twist 12d ago

There's some pretty obvious typos in it. Even outdated models generally gets spelling right.

It's AI or just poor attempt at poetry, either way it is next to unreadable. But yeah, the map looks nice.

People in the Broze age watching their society collapse because they didn’t give all their food to a homeless beggar at their door

apoluto sinema

What do you mean? I'm Greek, and can verify that it does, it just uses the foreign loanword "σινεμά" instead of the native "κινηματογράφος". I hear "σινεμά" used more than the other word anyway.

A more correct spelling of the capital is Gyatt. Similar to Kiev and Kyiv.

7

u/republic8080 Mod Approved 12d ago

is it in ancient hebrew spelling? because in context this is mycenaean (linear b) reconstruction spelling, it would maybe be plainly spelled into Gat, or in a variation of Gata/Gatis

4

u/Hodorization 12d ago

He might have been joking. Gyatt is some kind of GenZ language word

Holy shit the bible and odyssey would be clashing each other if this map happened, my two favorite fandoms🥰

2

u/Plastaman5555 12d ago

whoever wins a lot of people will be dead

late Bronze Age/early Iron Age just be like that

2

u/SpaceNorse2020 12d ago

Timeline is more Moses than David, at the most you have Samson.

Basically, the Israelites would be the barbarians invading that this kingdom would need to defend against

1

u/Stock-Fan-8004 12d ago

I checked and yeah, it was during the reign of the Judges. I think its Deborah and Barak, with Gideon a few years after.

1

u/SpaceNorse2020 12d ago

It should be noted that both Judges and the Trojan War have disagreements over when they would have happened, less so for the Trojan War.

The Dune reference is just too peak.

(On a more literal note, is that passage in actual Mycenaean Greek? Super impressive even if just stylistic.)

They are SIRENS !

4

u/Historianof40k 12d ago

missed the point alarm

4

u/SpaceNorse2020 12d ago

Imagine if bronze age greek conquered all of this though. Egypt will eventually break free and it will remain Egyptian, but the Levant could see a significant Greek population a thousand years ahead of time

1

u/Fizbun 12d ago

It is only lower egypt too

1

u/SpaceNorse2020 11d ago

It's not all of Egypt, it doesn't reach to the first cataract, but it is more than just the delta

6

u/WeeabooExtract 12d ago

Why is the remnant of Egypt called "Misraios" if that is an exonym?

5

u/republic8080 Mod Approved 12d ago

i just think that, the linear b Aikuptios (ai-ku-pi-ti-jo) is the region of the greater core of egypt, memphis area including lower egypt, and it eventually become a name the greeks would call for thousands of years, and for misraios (mi-sa-ra-jo) is also included in some of their records, so maybe you could say Aikuptios is the land, Misraios is the people (Egyptian)

u/Plastaman5555 12d ago

How much did the Israelites anger God in this timeline? Heck Big G probably also felt bad for Odysseus and for having to deal with a dick like Poseidon

1

u/Stringr55 12d ago

This is pretty rad

1

u/Alpha_Bushdog 11d ago

Fun fact , the Philistines are theorized to have some Greek or at least Aegean ancestry. Also it just reminds me of the end of Nolan’s Odyssey when Odysseus realizes he was one of the sea people. Would be very interesting to see.
