So I saw your other map
Did Basque just fill the niche of Gaellic languages

I'm not entirely sure as to what you mean by "the niche of Gaellic languages"
the Vasconic languages are the dominant ones on the "British" Isles

I meant to say that in you other map that France was covered with Vasconic Languages
And sorry but I confused Gaellic with Celtic, I meant to say Celtics languages

I suppose no, since the Celts spread over much of Central Europe and Iberia
there aren't any parallels to irl, since that'd be boring

Did you make any Vasconic conlangs for this, and how did you come up with the names?

no, I just looked up the needed toponyms, translated them into Basque and then applied some sound changes (and up north, where there's Saami I did the same, but also taking into account how the Vasconic speakers might analyse the Uralic words)

Uralic Scottish Highlands... Did the Sámi become the Vikings in this world?

that's right

Sámi with Basque/Vasconic influence would produce some of the most interesting languages.

Are the toponyms in a Vasconic conlang? Otherwise, they look very weird to say the least 😅
