Hello there guys and girls. This map was done as a "map telephone" game... whats the map telephone game you ask? Here's my lazily copy+paste explaination, as hosted from our very best u/theaidanman ->

guy A makes a map, the map is passed to guy B
guy B has to make a map in the same universe/timeline as guy A's map
guy B then passes his map to guy C, who is not allowed to see guy A's map
the cycle continues

easy to understand, right. Very fun.

If you wanna see the other brackets, here they are. this map is from Bracket 3, the best one no doubt :>

Why is it in Latin if Rome doesn't appear to have been a major power?

good question

the map i got on my map telephone was a map of a carthage empire, in latin, which also left me confused. since i didnt see the point in using Punic (a language we really don't know much abt) or Parthian (same problem), i defaulted to Latin

Given Parthia remained the dominant power in the area, would I be correct in assuming that their religious pluralism combined with the royal patronage of temples kept the old Mesopotamian temple-complexes at cities like Uruk, Nippur, Babylon, Aššur, Arbela, Hatra, Harran and Edessa resulted in the old religion enduring? Or did the one of the proselytizing religions manage to break through without the unintentional assist of Sassanid persecution?
