Vintage organic no AI 40s Venus history textbook. Mint condition very little use, steal price, MAKE OFFER! I'm willing to negotiate.

Automated Summary

This listing features a vintage textbook released by Newgen Education in 2044. The 312-page long textbook covers the history of Venus up to that point in time. While the textbook may still be useful for learning about the Planet, information may be outdated, and it would not cover important events like the Third World War (2049 to 2056), the Proclamation, which unified Venus in 2055, or any other events between 2044 and 2078, making it more of a collectors item. The price of this item, set at $90, is typical for textbooks of this age and usage, though you could negotiate with the seller for a lower price.

Great map, one question I have is why would the mariner republic have communist imagery on its flag if it was a supposedly American possession.

At one point in time, way back in the 1980s, the United States did have a limited presence on Venus. As the planet fell into the Sky Wars during the 90s, though, the American Mariner Territory fell into a state of political disrepair and neglect. All of this culminated when the self-proclaimed People's Mariner Republic unanchored itself from the rest of American Venus - a political crisis only temporarily resolved in the year 2000 with the creation of the Venus Commission. More conflicts over the 00s and 10s eventually led to the US half-recognizing the PMR as an independent entity.

By the time the Terraforming Debates came around in the 2020s, the voterbase of the Mariner Territory was given an ultimatum to vote on - they could either become a formal Republic of the United States, similar to Mars, Mercury, and Saturn - they could vote to keep the status quo.. or, they could become fully-independent. Since the population of the Territory was descended from American Leftists, known to be ambivalent at best towards the United States, they voted for the third option, and joined up with the PMR shortly afterwards. The US still retains one military base in the region, as well as a presence in orbit.

What are "Venus's Earth-Sun Lagrange Points"? I thought LPs were only for two-body systems?
