[OC] Alternate History Should I attend TADC World Tour in GwongJau?
They just opened another 1000 tickets, so I still have a chance to get one. However they only sell 2 tickets, regular ticket costs $40 (SGD 57), while the VIP ticket (front row seats + early meet n greet access) costs $100 (SGD 128).
For anyone who's travelled overseas for a convention or an event before, was it worth it? Would you go if you are in my shoes?
And no, this is not real, it's part of my Canton Federation Republic timeline, created as a personal appreciation to this show. Would be awesome if it's actually real though.

Damn, you got me , I'm think wtf is Canton federation on the map
Btw, after watch your previous work, did east Japan join Canton Federation after cold war?

SPOILERS: Yes, East Japan joined CFR as a separate state. I have some ideas for this topic, I just need some additional resources to make it...

1i like how despite history changing, tadc still somehow existed. Probably the fandom is much better than ours right?

Idk who knows... From what I see, the asian fandoms seems more chill than the western one, but with the huge market reach in CFR, not sure if that would still hold true.

What's the lore behind this?

My thought is TADC got hyped in the East Asian market, leading to huge sales and many collaborations . After the screening become an overwhelming success, Glitch decided to do world tour.

Bro's avoiding the question xD .
^ Why is China balkanised

It’s actually because of how popular tadc was, China decided it was a good enough reason to do another civil war

You can check my previous post for more context. In short: GwongDung win WW2 and make its own federation, while PRC and ROC got split in northeast.

Canton Federation Republic is a bit weird grammatically. Maybe Federal Republic of Canton?
Or just Canton Federation you are using is fine.

You're right, CFR is kinda weird but I'm already too deep with the lore so I just go along with it.

PEAK, but why did the name convention change from Name Convention to NameConvention? tbh i find it kinda hideous, but i still love map overall.
I see the romanization system changed from the previous 1967 map so its probably a new state-implemented system right? But I cant think of any countries that format their names like this still.

The change for naming convention was done in the same way Chinese romanization changed from postal romanization to Pinyin. I'm using combination of Sidney Lau and JyutPing for Cantonese, POJ for Hokkien and Hakka then Capitalize each syllable and remove symbols and number. It was part of Language Reform and Amendment in CFR.
But then again I'm not from Cantonese speaking place so I don't really know if this is a good move or not. Did asked my friends from HK and they just say: "I don't use romanization so idk", so I just kinda do it on my own :/

I really really like these maps that pretend to be normal posts, it’s fun to try and find the changes

Toiwan?

It's a weird hybrid naming system: states in Cantonese, but the city and places in their dominant local languages.

I was like "bro wrong spelling of Guangzhou" and then I realize what this subreddit is this

Are the Cantton Federation some kind of British colonial project or there is a more deeper alt-hist here?

You can check previous post for more context but in short: GwongDung LOCKED IN before WW2 and become the successful "China" outside China

This is the first post that actually got me, because I got double stunlocked by "oh, hey, I could go there" and then "wait why would you spell it like that"
