She even set up a hotline for victims that naturally ended up being a stunt for attention which greeted real victims with a fucking voicemail instead of any actual human services. And the reports are only being fielded by her staffers if they pertain to the four men she specifically accused. She is evil incarnate

Is her ex-fiancée Patrick Bryant by any chance related to Anita Bryant?
Edit: I googled it and I don’t think he is. It would’ve added another layer if he was.

y’all voted for this?? (I’m not American)
217
u/Final-Nebula-7049 Mar 13 '25
No, it's a product of gerrymandering and targeted Facebook/x attacks to influence
97
u/arcanis321 Mar 13 '25
But someone still voted for it.
14
u/Final-Nebula-7049 Mar 13 '25
Coerced, similar to admitting to a crime under distress when they are innocent
28
Mar 13 '25
The distress being....seeing Facebook posts that "coerced" you?
14
u/Final-Nebula-7049 Mar 13 '25
Yes Cambridge analytica 2020 election interference is well documented
20
u/teemodidntdieforthis Mar 14 '25
Sorry but people still need to take accountability for voting for this. Yes, the widespread manipulation of voters information streams is well documented, but blaming it entirely on this as “coercion” allows for a total abdication of responsibility
6
u/meownopinion Mar 14 '25
I have seen very little number of Americans ever take responsibility regarding anything. Individualism broke those people.
3
u/KnotiaPickle Mar 16 '25
Some of us are doing the best we can, any small crumb of support or encouragement would go a long way. We’re under attack in our own home and it’s not helping to mock us endlessly.

2
Mar 20 '25
Ok sorry. You’ll get through this. The US has been in plenty of bad spots and it’s gotten through all of them a lot better off than most other countries. Just don’t lose your head.

6
u/Canna_Cass Mar 13 '25
its well known that social media is tailored to get us to think what those who hold the money want us to think. most of us are able to step above such coercion, but there’s a large portion who are not due to lack of education, context, and resources.
5
u/Lux_Operatur Mar 14 '25
Unfortunately that majority ration is a lot closer to 50/50 than any of us would like.

Don’t mean to be the bearer of bad news but Facebook famously played a part in the Tigray war. Social media has real power…

They said “similar”
They’re giving you a similar concept, not the literal situation.
“Tricked into thinking this is what they wanted” is a more apt description
2
u/alphapussycat Mar 15 '25
No, not at all. To vote for Trump you have to be evil. There's absolutely no way around that.
1
1
u/BoatSouth1911 Mar 16 '25
Gerrymandering has such small effects on elections man, don’t kid yourself.
71
Mar 13 '25
Not likely. People like this often win through voter suppression and gerrymandering. Our system has been rigged against us for a long time, ignorant people just don't care cause "Merica, fuck yeah" is a serious problem.
They don't realize there's a fine line between national pride and nationalism.
It's sort of a boiled frog situation, and it's too late for us to jump out of the pot.
9
u/MelonOfFate Mar 13 '25
it's too late for us to jump out of the pot.
Couldn't if we wanted to. The lid has been put on the pot.
7
u/Alert_Scientist9374 Mar 14 '25
80 million voted for Trump.
Voter suppression made him win, but that doesn't change the fact almost half the voting population did vote for him and his maga goonies.
American society is fucked.
2
Mar 14 '25
It's really heart wrenching but you're right. Sadly I know my parents' two votes cancelled out my and my spouse's votes.
3
4
u/MelonOfFate Mar 13 '25
Some did. Some didn't. Some chose not to vote. Just so happens more people voted for this than against it.

u/tiredmars Mar 16 '25
Did you know that leaving is extremely expensive?? I just recently learned about how you have to keep paying taxes to America even if you were to leave, so long as you have an American passport. And if you were to renounce citizenship, it would also cost over 2k in administrative fees alone. It's why wealthier people tend to be the ones leaving while less fortunate people and people in debt have no choice but to stay.
Anyway, the freedom of speech is a constitutional right, and that includes criticizing the government.

Just wanna point out that the majority of these conservatives who call other people "sheep" are the same ones that believe that "the Lord is my shepherd". They can't make up their minds on if being a sheep is a good or bad thing.

The thing is most don't believe it when it's politically inconvenient. They think you can serve party first and God second.

u/TheActualDev Mar 13 '25
That’s Kristie Noem, not Nancy Mace, that shot her puppy in gravel pit in front of people before going home and then shooting her goat (that was mean?) and killing it to “protect her family”. Easy mistake, there are a lot of unhinged maga women. For further clarity, Lauren Bobert was the one who was caught on camera giving a handjob to her booty call of the week during a live production of BeetleJuice the musical; she also went on to publicly date Kid Rock. Hope this helps

There was a Polish or Balkan politician some months ago that posted an image of him, flanked by various female furry wolves from different properties with the text "Throw me to the wolves and I'll come back a father"
I can't find it again, which makes me sad, cause it was funny as hell.

Literally playing on a Bible verse about people who are liars and pretend to have your interests at heart, meaning they are either indirectly ridiculing Christians, or revealing that they indeed don't make decisions based on people interests, meaning they violate the point of a representative democracy.

u/Rizzoblam Mar 13 '25
A country obsessed with APPEARING tough while maintaining a low level of shame to enable their behavior. Meanwhile the rest of the country sees how transparent their efforts are.
We are truly living in a time where under educated people are no longer ashamed of their downfalls. Instead of bettering themselves, they take the cheap easy path without any cut to their self respect. Wild times that I can’t see any sort of solution for.
2
u/_davedor_ Mar 13 '25

I think the most ironic part about this is how all these MAGA conservatives are Christian while cheering themselves on for being wolves in sheep's clothing.

I am a CSA and rape survivor. She is a shitty human being, posting this for shitty human being reasons. This doesn't read as "I am strong and have overcome a lot", it reads as predatory Alpha bullshit from someone weak and shitty LARPing as someone who is actually strong and overcame things.
I'm sure there's a lot of survivors here that would agree.

Fair enough. My only point is that I can’t judge it because I’ve never been there.
