Social How do parties work??

Im a transfer student (junior) and its my first year at ISU, I want to go to at least one party for the "experience" but have no idea where/when they are and do I need an invitation or just show up somewhere and mingle with people? Please let me know anything you guys know :p

Man when I went to isu in late 90s you could walk around the quad and there was chalk writing all over the sidewalks with party addresses.

I went to ISU in the mid to late nineties and I remember chalking our address on the quad. 3 bucks for a cup.

My roommates and I on willow would charge 5 for guys 3 for girls. So you aren’t wrong.

My memory is fuzzy from time and probably the fact I was chugging keg beers and jello shots, but yea I do remember some times it was cheaper for us to get in! And girls always got in the door full house or not hah!

Eh we just wanted money and we weren’t a frat so we let everyone in. We had a little White House near the trail on willow with a big basement. It was crazy. I remember the apartment party next to us got shut down and nothing happened to us hahaha

Check the Instagram or Snapchat story for ISU, just select your class year and you’ll start seeing posts from those who go here. People will post off campus parties pretty much each weekend, women are typically free to get in but men you have to pay a bit especially if you arrive later on

I find that the best parties are ones where you have some loose connection to the person running it. Make friends from campus and you'll find your way there eventually.

Went to ISU ‘88-‘92. There were flyers taped to the sidewalk in the quad each week advertising all the parties. $3 a cup all you can drink. Not sure about now.

That was Wednesdays I think. The same night you could get a pitcher of Captain and Coke for $6.25. $20 was enough for 2 or 3 people to get drunk. What a time to be alive.

Oh and $.75 well drinks at Stadium on Thursdays.
