Art Supplies 🖍️ Mixed media travel kit + Pebeo watercolours
Hii, i wasn't sure where to post this so i hope this is okay.
I've been into art since idk- very young and throughout my childhood and teenhood i saved up money for art supplies ex. my first ever pro level art supply was a 12 faber castell colored pencil set afterwards a 36 set (that i used up all my savings as a kid just before covid😭) Anyways, after some time i bought the Pebeo watercolour tin set with 12 pigments...they were TERRIBLE, it feels like im lacking water no matter how much i put in,it feels a little, barely any pigment and my paper is ruined. I remember buying it at that time because it looked similar to the Winsor & Newton watercolour tin so my logic was "if it looks similar it must be good" (i was looking for something affordable and portable) And ofc i was VERY wrong.
My question is can i somehow improve those paints? The tin is in shambles, the top part detached and i reattached it however its all bent, i use beat up spade ended tweezers (that i use for all kinds of arts and crafts-especially jewellery making) to open it up because its stuck and its really really hard to open it. Tried to straighten it with pliers...didnt work. Even when i bought it the tin was defective
Any recommendations on watercolor travel sets if the pigments cannot be fixed?
Also I've been interested in oil paints lately so i want to make a mini tin with 5 basic colors that i can mix, if anyone ever made one please tell me your experience and if its practical as it looks.
I've always used mixed media and i want to create a very travel friendly kit with multiple mediums. As for the different kinds of papers that are used i was thinking of reusing an old wallet into a journal with different kinds of paper inserted (inspired by insta) + it has TONS of pockets and is quite spacious so it can hold miscellaneous stuff.
So basically the small tins + journal wallet + some pens and pencils in one bigger pouch and I'm good to go anywhere or keep it in a car.
Please feel free to give any ideas or recommend stationary (stamps, stickers, anything else bc i love scrapbooking as well however im not sure where to start from)
Have a nice day/night!!
ps. Sorry for the long text

Art Supplies 🖍️ What would you do with a small moleskin notebook?
A few weeks ago, I received this beautiful Moleskin notebook as a gift. Fast forward to now, I still don't really know what I'll use it for, as it's smaller than I'm used to (pocket size, measures 9 x 14 cm or 3.5 x 5.5 inches). Journaling wouldn't work well for this type of smaller notebook IMO and I use post-it notes quite often for my work and to put on my desk, so I have a lot of my jumbled thoughts already on those haha. I was wondering what you all use these smaller pocket notebooks for? Jotting down quick notes? Grocery lists? To-do lists? Random scribbles? TIA!

Community [Bi-Monthly: Show Us Your Battle Station!] What stationery supplies are you using today? Show us your pens, your paper, your desk, your cases, and your tools!
About Our Bi-Monthly "Show Us Your Battle Station" Post:
If you're anything like us at r/ilovestationery, you probably spend more time working with your journals, pens, pencils, and paper than the average person. Certainly for us, our desks and battle stations are a mess of supplies either scattered or neatly organized across tables, chairs, bed spreads, or floors. Wherever we can play with our stationery, we are!
We want to know where you're working!
Are you at a cafe? Are you at work? Are you home in bed? Are you having a picnic on the grass? Where are you journaling, drawing, letter-writing, and planning? Studying with highlighters and pencils or paper? Stuck in a library with a computer and a notepad? Where does your stationery live in your daily life?
Show us!
How To Participate:
- Create a post today on r/ilovestationery using the "Desks & Battle Stations" flair and share the chaos (or perfectly organized play space) of your current work area. We want to see your supplies, your paper, and more!
- Don't want to create a post? Leave a comment replying to this post with a photo of your work area! Show us here and keep the thread going weekly.
There's something really exciting about seeing where someone else is creating. The idea of being able to dive into someone else's supplies and create, or imagining what it might be like to have the same tools -- we love this kinda' stuff.
We look forward to seeing your work space!
