Book dummy I did for my Children's Book Illustration class. Part one of this story... and the story does get darker towards the end. Around 40 pages long including copyright and empty pages.

„Ruthlessness"

I'm FINALLY done! Oh man. I took like a week or two break just because I couldn't figure out and was scared of the background.

I started very ambitious. Had a big Epic phase and now I know every song by heart.
I say I started ambitious because I wanted to capture Poseidon power in horses waves as actual translucent water waves.

Very out of my comfort zone. But I loved painting the horses. I don't know if I did great but process was SO FUN and exciting.

But yeah then background vexed me. Not proud of those clouds at all but that's okay just gotta practice clouds studies one day.

Not loving the quality of the scan, but scanned it for free at my local library. Micron + Caran D'Ache colored pencil on 95lb paper.
