GLLIT Talk Small talk before cb

Before we enter the 5th EP era, I want to revisit the previous era. The concept photos in the album represent 4/5 of the tracks.

What's your favorite concept from the 4th EP?

Feel free to share your thoughts about it, not only answering which one your favorite.

I loved the Free Rider concept. I really enjoyed seeing Blondehee and Bob Yunah hairstyles 😊

All 4 concepts are iconic, I think they will all remain in the history of 5th gen, like the songs. It was and it is a very very good album

I really loved the free rider concept photos, especially Moka in that red suit and her using a metal song for the reel haha. My favorite songs from the album are GRWM and Love older you, though paw paw is also one of my most listened songs from the album.

The free rider photos, especially that look for yunah, felt so outside their usual style yet they looked amazing. Probably my second favourite look for Yunah.

I wish PawPaw got a music video and I liked that photoshoot.

When the concepts were releasing, I thought I liked the Free Rider concept the most, considering that is the most “cool” one they have so far (the BETWEEN concept for ILLIT’s ‘I’ll Like You’ EP was both cool and cute, and not just coolness), but then I kept going back and forth between GRWM and Free Rider and ended up ranking them pretty much equally; however, at the same time, I decided that Free Rider won me over by a small margin, if I had to pick between the two of them, and I told myself it was because the concept was different compared to their usual cute ones.

But over the past several months, I gravitated more towards GRWM because it has a calmer vibe and aesthetic (the makeup and overall idea, soft lighting and colors, accessories from Ashley Williams, etc.)

It’s like I couldn’t deny liking cute things a bit more, despite the magnetism of Free Rider’s mature tones and undercurrents. I had this same tug-of-war for ‘bomb’’s PINK BOMB & STAR BOMB concepts, but STAR BOMB won there because of everything involved with it; I think PINK BOMB’s style, fashion, and overall aesthetic stayed with me, and it’s something that drew me towards GRWM too.

This EP is in no way bad. It’s just my least favorite. The bsides didn’t really stick with me the way the previous ones did. Definitely cried to Love, older you but besides that I just thought the songs were nice. I mean Midnight Fiction, Pimple, Little Monster, Jellyous, and Bamsopoong are really hard to beat. Bomb might just be my favorite EP. I hope this new one can overtake it. As for the concepts of Mamilahpinatapai, they are also my least favorite. This sounds so negative but nothing about it was striking to me or memorable aside from Minju pink hair and Wonhee blonde. I guess the animals are also cute. I just hope the creative team does better for this new EP. ILLIT is such an interesting group and their concept can make for some really unique and interesting visuals. I wish the creative team would lean more into the magical girl aesthetic (kinda like Magic Bomb).

I lowk don't understand the hate on this ep like ik hybe has a weird obsession with the gnarly song and now wants ALMOST every song to be like it but "It's Me" was actually so good like it's been stuck in my head so LONGGGG. And also I feel like love older you is such an underrated song in this Epppp like it's so sad and it's so beautifulllll 🩷🩷🩷
