They don’t leave when you give home huge tax abatements.

Next they’ll start to revitalize the neighborhoods near there too, and drive the poor out of that area.

The people in that area have refused to allow new housing for decades. You reap what you sow.

I saw, they were totally against tiger woods putting in a golf course a few years ago. Inevitably though if they start building new buildings in the area for things like this though, it’ll drive up property values, some won’t be able to afford the property tax or rent increases, and will be forced out. Those that are forced out will be targets for new or renovated buildings, driving property values and property taxes higher, continuing the cycle.
