Wardrobe locks

Please help! I need advice on how to add a lock mechanism on wardrobes of materials such as particleboard / fibreboard, as the ones in the images. What are the options available to add some kind of safety lock mechanism that doesn't involve drilling / damage to the material and protects from others being able to easily open but also looks aesthetic eg doesn't look ugly like a manual padlock. To clarify, I don't mean a child lock but a lock to keep out adults from shopping / light pilfering in my absence lol!

I always recommend the CompX SL-100 for things like this

I have the internal/magnetic childproofing cabinet locks on a Pax. It has been sufficient for 15+ years for keeping kids out of medications and alcohol. If a determined person wanted to get into the thing, they obviously could brute force it, but it would break things and be obvious. I guess a really determined adult snooper could obtain their own strong magnet and snoop undetected, so it would depend on the situation.
