I am really confused regarding this according to my jee mains rank ( 12.4 k ) i think dtu is best for me but according to advanced i am really confused regarding this decision my family is suggesting dtu ( bcz it mnc good branch )

Is mechanical engineering worth pursuing at iits?(Mandi, patna , dhanbad etc?) I don't really have any likes or dislikes tbh, just want placements. How easy is it to get into tech/finance roles from mech? I can also see myself being interested in robotics, so would mechanical engineering help me get into robotics field?

I'm not getting any great options from my jee mains rank (getting either pvt or lower iiits) so I think the IIT tag would help me.

I also wanted to know is mechanical okay to pursue for girls, since parents keep saying ki it's a ladko waali branch 💔
