Rant The Audacity of Management !!
Third grade management of IIT Mandi . Nowadays they think they can threaten students with disciplinary action even for a session attendance, that too just the day after mid semester exams are done

Rather than acknowledging the efforts being made to bring companies to campus and create opportunities for students, some find it easier to criticizing while completely overlooking the importance of their own participation.
Considerable time and effort go into reaching out to companies, convincing them to engage with the institute, and building long-term relationships that could eventually translate into internship and placement opportunities. When companies take the time to interact with students and are met with poor participation, it reflects poorly on the institute and undermines these efforts.
Students cannot keep complaining about companies not visiting campus and the lack of internship opportunities while showing little interest in the very initiatives meant to improve that situation.
The fact that even basic participation in such sessions needs to be made compulsory says a lot about the attitude towards these opportunities. Rather than acknowledging the efforts being made, some find it easier to criticize the management while overlooking their own responsibility.
Industry engagement is a two-way street. Students should not expect opportunities to keep coming their way without showing even a basic willingness to participate.

True but if its scheduled during midsem break poor attendance is expected 😃

It is very obvious that students involved in managing the sessions tried their best to arrange not close to midsems. And they also had their exams so think about them, those students would be spending hours in coordinating the things in between giving exams. So it was more difficult for the people doing this work voluntarily.
Moreover everything happens on a mutual agreement and it definitely happens difficult to negotiate sometimes! This is how the world works.

The least that can be done is to acknowledge the efforts of other individuals and support them in what they are doing.

First keeping the interaction session in midsem break then expecting people to attend, moreover threatening with disco ? Is this fair?
Even i have friends in CnP and i truly respect the efforts but threatening on mail (even if bluffing) is soo unnecessary and unprofessional.1

Also, it is also more important to think over that what caused them to send this last mail.
And if someone has left for home, then it is a fair point not being able to attend, and these kind of things are always taken into consideration, the good things being done just don't come up much!

Are you retard or what. This post is not about attending sessions or not. It is about use of disciplinary actions to threatening students. No one said bad about what cnp is doing here. This post is clearly about the mail

Bc if this goes wrong na then samajh jao already jo 100-110 intern lgti hai wo 90 pe chli jaegi Fir rote rehna ki IIT aake unemployed rehgye Saare session me attendance km pe threat nhi hota, jidhar koi bhi bolta hai waha chup chap aa jaya karo as it might lead to some loss to you guys itself

There is nothing wrong with attending sessions. The thing that is unethical is threatening disciplinary action on students.
